  • Great cabin

"we have stayed at the owners various cabins several times, but this was our first time renting the jocacherra. This is now our favorite and we are already looking forward to the next time. The cabin is beautifully decorated in an up north theme and very clean. It is a perfect cabin for a romantic get away or family vacation. The seclusion and privacy made it easy to relax and recharge. The hot tub located on the back deck is wonderful and the view picture perfect. We also were able to go snow shoeing around thier property, they even have extra ones there if you dont have your own. John and Cassy take great care of their rental properties and make it an easy rental process. Thank you for another great get away!"

  • Wonderful Week

"Tonight is the last night of our week-long stay and, just like all the times here at Mullett from my youth, it's so hard to think about leaving. The cabin is very comfortable and very charming. The lake has gone from smooth-as-glass to three-foot waves crashing over the dock, several times over the week. We're equidistant between Vivio's in Indian River and Hackmatack at the top of the lake (and more!) so dining is no problem. Had we decided to eat in, the kitchen is prepared for anything. As it's mid-October it's perfectly desolate and wonderful but I can see that even in the summer it would still feel private. I would highly recommend this cabin for everything from quiet getaways to rowdy family get-togethers. It's equipped for anything."

  • A Wonderful Week

"Our family of 4 adults and 1 11yr. old girl had a wonderful visit at the Lily Pad. The cottage itself is a lovely and well kept home with all the amenities including plenty of storage space which is unusual in most cottages. We lucked out with a beautiful weather week in the mid to high 70's and blue skies. We enjoyed kayaking and our attempts at fishing (we'll get them next time!). We visited Petoskey, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, and Cheboygan where we ate at a delicious restaurant, Pier 33 on the river. The meal at Legs Inn in Cross Village was great as well. The cottage location is so close to so many places and activities that I still have a list of things we did not have time to do or visit. Now, if we could just get rid of those pesky mosquitoes after sunset, we would know we were close to heaven."

  • Great Comfortable Family Cottage!!!

"The Flynn Family Cottage is an ideal place for a large family stay on Higgins Lake (or a smaller family). Actually, in our 30+ years going to Higgins, it is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. On this trip there were eight of us; my wife and me, two sons with their wives and two grandchildren. Everyone had a lot of room to move around in without bumping into one another. The cottage layout is great. The very large kitchen is separated from the living room. The living room is spacious with comfortable seating for everyone. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The highlights of this location include a long private entry road through the woods that gave it a north woods feel. The beach and fire pit are great. The lake at this point had a smooth sandy bottom and the grandkids (3 & 5) could walk out beyond the end of the dock and it would only be up to their chest. At night on the dock, the stars were magnificent and you could see the Milky Way. We had a great time and highly recommend the Flynn Family Cottage. We’re going back in 2016!!"
