"The house was just what we needed for our group of six, which included three children. The lake views were fantastic, including ships and in the distance a view of the Mackinaw bridge. The beach is rocky, which our kids loved. Water was cold as expected so we went to Mullet lake to swim. We were very close to some many attractions, and some of our favorites were Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, Saint Ignace, Castle Rock, Ocqueoc Falls, Mullet Lake, Downtown Cheboygan, and McGulphin Point Lighthouse. There are several state parks in the area, and playgrounds which kept the kids happy. We plan to return and venture further into the U.P. Only downsides to this rental was no wifi, and lack of AC (which was only a minor concern during the first two days when temperatures were unseasonably high). You should bring a couple fans. The owner was very accommodating and the house was ready for us. Kayaks were a nice touch, and onsite laundry was helpful. The fire pit was nice in the evening as we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets with some s'mores. Great rental for the price!"

"We could not be any more pleased with our stay. We only wish we would have stayed longer!!! The view is amazing, the water clean, the beds are comfy and the privacy is a blessing! Truly a relaxing place to unwind from the world. And the location could not be better. Just minutes from the city, and the island! And the cottage is cozy and quaint. Everything is provided, you really feel like a well taken care of guest! Do not pass this one up!"

"Cute cozy cabin on a pretty lake. Very close to Mackinaw City, and the Headlands park (an international Dark Sky park). Nice sandy bottom lake. Small but serviceable kitchen. Dining room area has a good size table and plenty of room in the living room to relax. We enjoyed our stay very much. I would suggest adding a notebook with instructions since I left mine at home, along with some menus of area eateries."

"My fiance and I stayed at the cottage during mid-August. I was so grateful to have found a lakefront location that would accommodate a weekday to weekday stay rather than a Saturday to Saturday, and that would allow us to bring our dog. It was easy to find off 23. The home was very clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The property was beautiful and private with its tall birch trees and long staircase to the beach, allowing us to let our dog off-leash to roam around. The lakefront here is beautiful--clear water and a major view of the lake. We made ample use of the kitchen to cook most of the meals we had during our stay, the innertubes in the garage, the fire pit, and the beautiful bike path nearby. I would happily stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others! Chris was always fast to respond and very thorough with all of my questions, which was also sincerely appreciated.
Some of our favorite spots during this stay that we would recommend: The Chicory Cafe, The Painted Lady Cafe, Rosa's Squeeze Inn, Karsten's Restaurant, and the Domaci Gallery."
