"An excellent place to stay, very accommodating and home-like feeling to the place. The sun room was worth it all by itself. The kids could play games in the living room while the adults played cards in the sun room with the nice breezes off the lake coming in. Could use new beds, or at least mattresses. Not really uncomfortable, but not really comfortable, just old."

"We have rented homes in the Au Gres, East Tawas area for a few years, but this location was by far our favorite to date. We had 5 children age 5 and under, 7 adults, three of them being grandparents, and the house and property were enjoyable for everyone. The beach was sandy, clean, and vast, which was great for all of us on the perfect beach days, and on the windy, kite flying days. There is a big bath tub on the main floor which was great for giving the kids baths, and the kitchen was perfect for big dinners and lots of traffic. Only downfall was the lack of central air and the upstairs got really hot during the day. Evenings were just fine, once the wind started rolling off the lake in through the windows.
We also did some day trips to Lumbermans Monument and Tawas for ice cream and shopping. Hoping for another opportunity to stay at LeBlanc Beach next year!!"

"My wife, adult son and I spent a week at the cottage near the fall foliage peak. The cottage met and exceeded our expectations. The welcoming gift package was well enjoyed and we enjoyed the MOOSE theme. On our first day there we committed to counting ALL the moose but we never completed the mission and I suspect we could not have arrived at an accurate count! The week we were there was unfortunately very rainy yet we remained very busy visiting sites in the area and we truly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. The cottage is very well appointed and very well equipped. We prepare most of our meals and I cannot think of any kitchen item which was not supplied. The yard and beach are awesome and the cottage is so convenient to town, just a couple minutes away. It is so much better than staying in a cramped motel room. Everything was so clean and nicely appointed, I cannot think of a single criticism. Thank you so much Dick and Sue for the great accommodations. We also playing with the nostalgic games and engaging books! We would not hesitate to return again in the future. With the Headlands International Dark Sky Park, Wilderness State park, McGulpin Point lighthouse and Fort Michilmackinac all within a few minutes there is so much to do without even spending a minute in town or on the island. Great place to visit and much thanks for your reasonable rate during our stay."

"We loved this condo and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. The Shores Condominium complex is a very beautiful property with lovely landscaping and a clean heated pool. We would never stay in a hotel again after finding this gem! Close to everything and yet it was quiet and peaceful and away from all the "traffic" of Mackinaw City. The condo itself was clean and cute and truly felt like our home away from home. There is everything you need and more in the kitchen. The king size bed was so comfortable and the washer and dryer were just added bonuses. I could go on and on about how great it is....on a cool night we even used the gas fireplace! How cool is that? The only thing that needs mentioning is the living room furniture. These chairs need to be replaced. For our small family of 3, the fold out double bed was just OK for our 10 y/o daughter. If you have older kids or more adults, you may be uncomfortable on these futons. They are nothing more than thin foam cushions that lay on the floor. You might want to consider bringing air mattresses if you plan on using anything other than the King size bed."
