"The cottage was great, the beach was great, the neighbors were friendly. Everything was great for us on our stay even the weather. The homeowner was always available to answer questions. I am looking forward to staying here again."

"I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Art and Cathy are very accommodating and have a beautiful cottage inside and out. The inside is up to date and kept clean. As far as outdoors, we like how close it is to the water as opposed to some other properties, and enjoyed using the kayaks provided. I have been coming up to Long Lake since I was little and keep coming back. We invited friends up for a couple of days and they could not stop commenting on how peaceful the lake is. In fact, they asked us if they could stay an extra day because it was just too hard leave. Long Lake is so clear and most of the time looks turquoise because of the clear water and sandy bottom. You will also see and hear a lot of loons on the lake. Definitely the perfect vacation spot."

"We just returned from a week long stay at this great house. The house has everything you need to move right in and make yourself at home. It is laid out beautifully with great lighting, top of the line appliances, and comfortable couches and bedding. The kids loved the HUGE bath tub in the master suite! The beach toys, including kayaks, floaties, boogie boards, pails and shovels, were perfect for our family. The water is up quite a bit which makes a more difficult beach walk - but we made it up and down a few times. Sturgeon Point Lighthouse is a short walk away and our family went there every day as the kids love doing the scavenger hunts and checking out the gift shop. We also made excursions to Alpena (Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum (FREE!!!)), Tawas Area (Newman St, State Park), and Lumberman's Monument. The local library and state park also provided free activities. This is our third time staying in the Harrisville area and we love it. Great beach and swimming, incredible sunrises, and a nice relaxing atmosphere! Highly recommended!"
