  • Nice and quiet

"We stayed here and made the daily drive to Treetops Resort to play golf. The resort is about 20 minutes away. The cottage has everything we needed including a nice gas grill. It was very clean. My only small complaint is the the bunkroom is VERY small...barely big enough for the bed that is in there. Not a deal breaker, just be prepared. Overall, I give this rental my full recommendation."

  • Family Skiing & Tubing Weekend

"Brought the entire family up to Dan's condo and it was a fabulous weekend. The condo was very neat and spacious. There were 9 of us (8 adults, 1 grandson) and we didnt even use one of the bedrooms. Nice, big flat screen TV above the fireplace with plenty of channels for your viewing pleasure. This Otsego Club condo is 5 minutes away from Treetops (extreme tubing) and 2 minutes away from downtown Gaylord. You also can ski right on site at the Otsego club. Dan is a great host and works to ensure you have a memorable visit. I highly recommend this clean, spacious condo where you can truly appreciate Northern Michigan at its finest, winter or summer! Thanks again Dan!"

  • Wonderful family vacation spot!

"We had 9 in our party - 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, and two 3 year-old granddaughters, along with my husband and myself. We had planned to do some day trips in the area, but enjoyed spending time at the "vacation house" so much that we only ventured out 1 or 2 days. The guys fished, the girls swam and the little ones just enjoyed everything! The house is well furnished, clean and we would love to stay there again. The owners were very helpful and responded promptly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend it!!!"

  • Beautiful and freindly

"Lake Otsego is a perfect true up north vacation for your entire family to enjoy. Corey cove is a small community of log cabins situated next to a sandy beach which is partially closed off from the main lake making it perfectly safe for young children to swim. The cabin was perfect it slept all of us nice and cozy but was small enough it brought all of us together. The town of Gaylord has a spectacular downtown area full of shops and resteraunts. All the Amenities of home yet truely an up north getaway. Hiking through the trails required a vehicle to get to but the scenery was picturesque. Thanks Rene we loved your little cabin."

Recreational Opportunities Are Never Hard to Find in Gaylord

Northeast Michigan lake houses near Gaylord are great places to stay for anyone interested in fishing. With several lakes and rivers in the area, angling and fly-fishing are among the most popular pastimes among locals and visitors alike. The Manistee and Au Sable Rivers run parallel through the area and offer fishermen of any skill or experience level the chance to make a great catch. Gaylord is also located in the center of Michigan's Snow Belt, which means there's plenty of the fluffy white stuff all around town—about 180 inches per year. So naturally snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and alpine skiing are huge recreational draws to the area during the winter months. During certain seasons, Gaylord is a hunter's paradise with terrain that yields whitetail deer, squirrels, fauna, and waterfowl.
