"We were so pleasantly surprised how clean and good smelling the cabin was when we arrived. It has plenty of room and amenities and is really comfortable. It didn't take long for it to feel like home. We liked it so much we booked it for next year before we left."

"Even though it was the middle of Winter, it was a great time to be up north in the lodge. Big place where a big group will feel comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, every dish you will need to cook. Loved the rustic, comfortable feel to the lodge. Very clean, the fireplace was great. Even enjoyed some older movies and the pool table was nice. Took a while for the place to warm up, so arrive early and get it cranking before bedtime and bring your slippers if you are going in the Winter. Great time with the family."

"Vacationed in this beautiful cabin with older parents, middle-aged siblings, young adult children, and teenagers. All age groups we satisfied. There was plenty of room for spending time together or finding "own space" to get away for a bit. This home had all the amenities. It exceeded expectations in comparison to other VRBO rentals we've experienced. Favorite activities included relaxing on porch and back deck, watching the birds and chipmunks, sitting by the river, kayaking and tubing, biking and boating on Burt Lake. The owners took great care to ensure we enjoyed ourselves."

Great house, comfortable for large family (or multiple families) Clean.
"This cabin easily accommodated our large group. We had multiple families with a variety ages of kids from 8-18. There are tons of beds and linens (tons of clean pillows, linens, blankets and towels are provided). I slept on the queen mattress in the bedroom in the room with the bunk beds and it was great. The kitchen is well furnished! Plenty of pots and pans and dishes. A small selection of basic spices were at the house. There are 2 refrigerators (1 in kitchen, 1 in bonus room in the back of the house - perfect for drinks). House was very clean and in good condition when we arrived. It rained several of the days we were there but there was plenty of space to accommodate our large group inside. The bonus room has 2 great card/game tables. Some people in our group went to bed early so we put them in the bedrooms in the middle of the house (the bunk bed/queen room and 2 queen bed room) - then the rest of us could be in the bonus room and it was still very quiet in the bedrooms. The bathrooms are clean, plumbing works well. Water has a slight iron taste but really not bad. There is a BBQ grill in the garage with plenty of propane included. Also, wood is provided for the fire pit. Although we didn't use them, the owner provides some bikes, fishing gear and sand toys. The sandy area by the water is great for little kids, however, it leads to lots of sand tracked in the house so you need to sweep a lot. Getting in and out of the water is tricky due to the sea wall. There is a dock, but boats need to be tied up to the mooring. So it is a little bit of maneuvering to get all gear on and off the boat and the boat tied up. (but completely doable). The only real negative thing is that the living room couch is quite worn out and the back is broken on one section. (The owner is aware.)
The house is about 15 minutes from Wal Mart - which is very handy when I had to make frequent trips to the store for food and drinks. Owner is very thorough and prompt with check-in instructions and any house rules/reminders. Owner is also very responsive to email and was ready to help with any issues we may have encountered during the week (even though we didn't have any). Street in front of the property is a small residential street - nice for walking or kids biking. Yard by the lake is big - we had 2 corn hole games set up and a ton of folding chairs and still had plenty of room."
