  • Fantastic Trip

"Our stay at the Loon Lake Hideway was fantastic and was perfect for our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 children). Too many positives to list but here are a few: - Owner was great to work with and very helpful with questions - House had all the accommodations you can ask for including a pontoon boat - Location was perfect. Quiet location with small beach for the kids - The lake was crystal clear and not crowded so you can feel safe tubing / skiing with younger children. - Fishing was good but mostly limited to Large Mouth (largest was 4.8lbs), Small Mouth, Rock Bass and Pan fish. We did see a Northern Pike but never caught one. I highly recommend this location for those looking for a quiet get a way either relaxing on the beach, fishing or doing some sort of water sports. I can't comment on the local attractions since the only time we left was to get food and gas however our intentions were never to sight see."

  • Great time

"My spouse and 5 chidren enjoyed the spacious apartment that over looks Long Lake. The children enjoyed catching fishing off of the dock, swimming at the beach and sitting around the camp fire at night. The apartment sit's on a large private lot surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. There is plenty of sleeping space and the apartment is like new. Tawas and Oscada Beaches on lake Huron are 23 minutes by car. If you love beaches, nature and shopping this is the part of michigan you need to visit. I have been to other sides of Michigan but this has been my best expirience by far. The apartment manger Penny was polite, personal and made ceratin we had a valuable stay. The apartment is fully furnshed, just bring your food, clothes and personal supplies. We truly enjoyed this place and plan to stay two next year. I almost forgot to mention the excellent price, far less property rent for considerable more money. i hope Jim can afford to keep the price affordable over time. Thanks for allowing my family the privledge to enjoy your property while vacationing in North East Michigan this year."

  • Wonderful Vacation Home

"We stayed at this cottage in late June and had a wonderful time. The cottage was beautiful and everything in it was top quality from the cookware to the bath towels. The pontoon boat was a fantastic inclusion and was very nice. Paul, the owner, was great and very patient responding to our every need and question. We have stayed at a number of VRBO rentals and this was a great value. We highly recommend it."

  • Family Gathering

"We rented this beautiful Lake house to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. It was everything that we could have imagined it would be. Dave and Debbie really went above and beyond to make this a very enjoyable and rememberable experience for all of us. If you are looking for a nice clean home away from all the hustle and bustle, this is your place."

Hale Travel Tips

Hale Vacation Rentals: Retreat to the Wild

Within Iosco County, a small township of Northeast Michigan, is Hale. This quiet village is unfamiliar to most, overshadowed often by the temptations nestled miles from it, such as Lake Huron or the National Forest. It may seem to many travelers as an excuse to simply stare as they hurry through, but instead it becomes a reason to stay. Let Hale vacation rentals keep you within the glory of nature while remembering the importance of luxury.

Hale Lodging: For Your Exploration

Stone and concrete, iron and glass: hotels are without style or character; anonymous, tedious and small. Northeast Michigan lake houses, however, understand the value of elegance. With bedrooms for all, expansive kitchen areas and even the much needed Internet, you can have comfort amongst the wild.

Things to Do Near Hale Vacation Rentals

Discover what is waiting beyond your Hale lodging. Travel the 22 miles of the River Road Scenic Byway. This famed route delivers breathtaking sights and exotic creatures. Give yourself time to learn its many paths. Trek then to Rollways Recreation Area; which features canoeing, rafting, fishing and more. Let the Iargo Springs Interpretive Site amaze with its panoramic views, water sports and boardwalk trails. Thrill the kids with a ferry ride on the Au Sable River Queen. And visit the Lumberman's Monument Center for hands-on exhibits and fun (such as testing your skills, or lack of them, with a saw). With Hale vacation rentals, you'll immerse yourself in true adventure.

Northeast Michigan Lake Houses: Escape it All

It's an easy thing to dismiss Hale, to assume that it's just another tiny town on the way to more common destinations. But it is instead the perfect answer to your holiday needs. With Northeast Michigan lake houses, you can enjoy the beauty of nature without sharing it with everyone else. It's time for a change. Give yourself true peace this year and enjoy.
