"The house was just what we needed for our group of six, which included three children. The lake views were fantastic, including ships and in the distance a view of the Mackinaw bridge. The beach is rocky, which our kids loved. Water was cold as expected so we went to Mullet lake to swim. We were very close to some many attractions, and some of our favorites were Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, Saint Ignace, Castle Rock, Ocqueoc Falls, Mullet Lake, Downtown Cheboygan, and McGulphin Point Lighthouse. There are several state parks in the area, and playgrounds which kept the kids happy. We plan to return and venture further into the U.P. Only downsides to this rental was no wifi, and lack of AC (which was only a minor concern during the first two days when temperatures were unseasonably high). You should bring a couple fans. The owner was very accommodating and the house was ready for us. Kayaks were a nice touch, and onsite laundry was helpful. The fire pit was nice in the evening as we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets with some s'mores. Great rental for the price!"

Perfect getaway in a clean, lovely cabin on Lake Huron
"Upon arrival we found the cabin to be very clean and perfect for my family. Lake Huron is in full view from the lovely deck, the fire pit is perfect to stay warm in the evening and relax with the crashing waves. The beach is nice and sandy (some rocks here and there from past high waters). I could not say anything better about this place, fantastic getaway!"

"I stayed at this property for a long weekend in August. The cabin is awesome! It's more updated looking than the pictures make it seem, it's very clean, and more roomy than I expected. There is a flat screen tv now instead of the older one in the pictures, however there is no cable or internet so be aware of that. I have Verizon and my service was terrible until I got into town. There is also no air conditioning, which to my surprise the cabin stayed pretty cool and comfortable, except for the bedroom at night. Even with the ceiling fan going and the fan I brought, it was still very hot. The property is beautiful and there's an amazing pond loaded with a variety of fish and turtles! I fed them....a lot :) The only issue I had was that the trail leading down to the river is very narrow and overgrown with tons of flowers and plants, so as your trying to swat the bugs away (yes, they were horrible) and carry your things down to the river, it can be a little challenging. I was also under the impression that your right on the river, as in being able to just walk right in with easy access, but it's not. There's a small, mowed out strip and the fire pit, but you're on like a hillside so it's a good 20 feet or so drop off down to the river and it didn't seem doable to climb down the side to get down to the water. I'm not a professional fisher, I just do it for fun, however I couldn't quite figure out how to try fishing that high up and with all the tall grass and branches coming off the slope so I didn't do any fishing from the property. All in all it's a great cabin and the land is beautiful, I'd definitely recommend. Last thing, the driveway is a shared driveway with a few other homes and it's narrow, so go slow around corners!"
