Perfect getaway in a clean, lovely cabin on Lake Huron
"Upon arrival we found the cabin to be very clean and perfect for my family. Lake Huron is in full view from the lovely deck, the fire pit is perfect to stay warm in the evening and relax with the crashing waves. The beach is nice and sandy (some rocks here and there from past high waters). I could not say anything better about this place, fantastic getaway!"

"The property is great for children. There is a yard and a play set for them to play on. Plenty room in the house.... More then we needed. We had four adults and four children. The property is on the lake and you do need to take stairs down to the lake but there was no problem with that. The kids were able to swim off the dock and the water in that area was not deep at all. One down fall is the location of fire pit. It is down by the lake and not much room for everyone to sit around. So when the kids were in bed, it was too far for the adults to hang out. The husbands loved the fishing which there are many different fish in the lake. They even caught many of them with the kids off the dock. Super close to the city. The yard is nicely kept up with trees and flowers and has nice shade for those hot days. We had a fantastic time!!!"

"Our family of four enjoyed our time very much. The cottage and Mullett Lake were perfect for our interests in bicycling and kayaking. The screened porch was the best spot for sunrise coffee and all our meals. The warm hospitality of Jan and Kevin make this rental stand out. The cottage is on the same property as their year-round home, and they checked on our enjoyment regularly and offered helpful advice, bike storage in their garage, and floating things for the lake. Plus wifi, which was nice for communications but a bit slow for downloads. Cable TV was ample.
The cottage was economical in every way. No wasted space here! The kitchen has got everything you'd need for any amount of cooking. The bedrooms were snug (a full-size bed and a dresser in each), so we were glad to have the “sleeping loft” for one of our teens; it also has a bed.
Location between towns of Cheboygan and Indian River provided all necessities and some fun activities without touristy trash like Mackinaw City, which is nearby if you really want fudge and tee shirts. The lake was clear, not too cold, and sandy off the nice dock. They provide room for a boat if you bring one.
The North Central Trail runs just behind the property, great for biking and running. It's a nicely maintained rail-to-trail for all seasons. Not far from I-75 for jaunts up to Mackinac, the bridge and U.P. All in all, this was a great place to spend our Up North vacation week!"

"We loved your cottage - it was the perfect fit for us! The location made it seem like we were away from it all, but we were still able to get to a pizza place or the grocery store without a crazy long drive. The beach area and kayaks kept my kids (15 & 13) and dog entertained for HOURS. Add in the boat, and our family was set! Well, and the lounge chairs for this mom to sit in the sun, both on the beach and on the deck, and read. haha The fishing was a bummer, but you never know if that was the fisherman's issue or not. ;) The trees and lake breezes kept us cool even on the hottest days of July. We trekked over to Lumberman's Monument and the Iargo Springs which are definitely worth the trip. I dare you to keep your bare feet in that water for longer than 20 seconds!!
Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful lake cottage! What an amazing week we had!"
