"We just returned from a week long stay at this great house. The house has everything you need to move right in and make yourself at home. It is laid out beautifully with great lighting, top of the line appliances, and comfortable couches and bedding. The kids loved the HUGE bath tub in the master suite! The beach toys, including kayaks, floaties, boogie boards, pails and shovels, were perfect for our family. The water is up quite a bit which makes a more difficult beach walk - but we made it up and down a few times. Sturgeon Point Lighthouse is a short walk away and our family went there every day as the kids love doing the scavenger hunts and checking out the gift shop. We also made excursions to Alpena (Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum (FREE!!!)), Tawas Area (Newman St, State Park), and Lumberman's Monument. The local library and state park also provided free activities. This is our third time staying in the Harrisville area and we love it. Great beach and swimming, incredible sunrises, and a nice relaxing atmosphere! Highly recommended!"

"Dans place was absolutely perfect. It was very cozy and in a perfect location. Dan was a pleasure to work with, incredibly friendly and flexible. I plan on staying here any time we visit Gaylord . The only bummer was the Otsego Club is now private and was closed. It wasn't an issue however because Treetops has similar activities and was just around the corner."

"Very private area, was nice to have the park/pool/pavilion area. Took advantage of the hot tub and kayaks. Canoe was accidentally locked up so we couldn't use it but was no big deal. Was quiet on the lakes. Enjoyed our time outside of the one rainy day. Doreen and John were helpful."

"Could not have asked for a better location! Just a block from the bike trail and a short distance from town. Private, no traffic, and right on the water! Launched kayaks in front and lots of parking for boat trailer, etc.. Did not need A/C or furnace while we were there. Loved the museums and local history. Tawas State Park was great! Great places to eat. Home was very well equipment. Friendly neighbors. WIFI was great, too. VERY clean with great cooking utensils! All on one floor. Do not think twice about renting this one! Washer/Dryer, stove and frig looked almost new. Not a lot of beach to walk on because of the unusually high lake level this year, but there are a couple of great, free beaches just a 5 minute drive away."
