"This cottage is nestled back off the busy roads and gives you a real "up north" feel. It is centrally located on the lake with a boat launch less than a mile away. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well-equipped so don't feel like you need to bring your whole kitchen with you. But, do remember to bring your own bed linens and towels including hand towels for the bathroom, dish towels for the kitchen and a few rags for cleaning the chairs and table outside. The owner was very gracious and flexible. He made us feel at home and truly wanted us to relax and enjoy the cottage and all it has to offer. I would highly recommend the cottage and would stay there again."

"This cottage was just as described. It is actually bigger than the pictures make it look. The kitchen is nice with lots of counterspace for a cottage. Having a washer and dryer is a big plus! The bathroom is super nice with a huge shower! Plenty of room in the bedrooms. The beds were typical cottage type, not like a hotel, but decent enough. It is a quiet area of Ostego Lake, which is nice. The lake is huge! Only thing is you can't really swim right off the property. Lots of lily pads and it is pretty deep off the edge of the dock, so if you have kids, keep this in mind. However, there is a state park less than a mile away with a really nice beach area. The location is great - close to Gaylord, less than an hour from Petoskey, about an hour from Traverse City. Makes a nice hub if you want to explore. The central air is a nice perk too!"

"We greatly enjoyed our stay here with 9 adults and a small dog. The place could sleep at least 16 if 4 or 5 are kids. In the 70's we had our first family cottage vacation in Ontario where we learned to play a game called "aggravation" using cards instead of dice. We have played as a family ever since. My dad chose this cottage to leave his hand made 6 player board with marbles and cards. That's how special he felt the place to be. We did have some rain, but we made it out on the lake every day, and we had great bonfires most nights. Wonderful furnishings in the great-room, and a large screen T.V. just like we have at home. We suggest you choose this one."

"Everything was very easy, the place was clean and well stocked. We just added groceries and had a great time. The lake was beautiful and the kayaks made it easy to enjoy that. Internet connection was slow, but that added to the getaway feeling. Phone was poor and it would have been nice to have better reception."
