"There isn't much to add that hasn't been said. Fabulous home -- like being at home as far as the comfort goes -- great beds. The kitchen was wonderful to prepare some of our meals and we enjoyed the outdoor space. Perfect place to take in some serious golf. Jim and Carol have a jewel of a home here and we are fortunate to have them share it with us. Jim was great to work with and offered recommendations, all good. We're already talking about our return!"Guest: KC native Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 14, 2014View listing
"We had an amazing time at the North Bay Getaway. Cannot say enough about how clean and comfortable the home is. My sister and brother-in-law and my husband and I spend a week together in September (usually in the U.P.) We have always used VRBO to find a place to rent and North Bay has to be one of the best. The owner is one of the nicest people we have met on our travels. So accommodating and welcoming and full of good information about the area. We intend to return in 2015 (something we have never done before - we always move on to another area of Michigan. We just felt that there was so much more to see and do, so we will be returning."Guest: Pat S. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 17, 2014View listing
"My sons, boyfriend, and I really enjoyed our first stay at Higgins Lake! The lake is beautiful! We brought our boat for tubing and fishing, and had a great time. The views from the cabin were great, and it was so relaxing to sit on the swing, looking out on the lake. The cabin had everything we needed. The updated bathroom was very nice. I would recommend going to the Silver Dollar (can walk to it). Nice people, huge portions."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 15, 2014View listing
"Our family of 5 had the most amazing family vacation. This cabin is located on a fabulous fishing lake and the row boat was a nice perk! The neighbor Ray is a super kind man that made instant friends with our 14 year old and they enjoyed fishing together. So close to town and the beach. Very quite and peaceful. The cabin had a perfect set up for us. There was everything we could have possibly needed to have a great stay. The washer and dryer meant coming home to NO laundry. Owner was kind and prompt with deposit return. Will for sure stay again next year!!! A++ rental!!!"Guest: The Balcer Family Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 19, 2014View listing

Prepare for the fun with all the conveniences of home. Modern style is common (and necessary).
Things to Do Near Mio Lodging
After enjoying a leisurely morning in your Mio lodging, set out to search along the Au Sable River. This massive stretch of water features some of the best fishing in the entire country and some of the best landscapes as well. The views are spectacular. Travel then to the Parmalee Trading Post, which offers canoeing and rafting tours. The Michigan Valley Railroad weaves you through the countryside. Seek out the Huron National Forest, with its 978,725 acres and countless paths to explore. And follow the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail for horseback riding and scenic views. You'll never be without the wilderness.
