"Upon arrival to Tawas, the property was easy to access and the home was spotless!
I was able to unpack and settle in quickly so I could tour the town!
Biking or walking made all the difference in the world. Although, if you needed
to drive into town, the free parking was also ample!
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, some food items which were fresh and usable for my cooking purposes, as well as towels and dish soap! Bathroom linens were in great supply and all just smelled fresh!
Bedding was comfortable, the spaciousness of the porch, the living room, desk area, and family room made it a perfect relaxing place!
About 3 miles from Lake Huron and Tawas Point Lighthouse was also a plus as was the nightly sightings of deer families!
A chocolate store which makes their own concoctions each day, Tuesday dancing in the street, and blueberry picking made this a definite summer surprise that I would love to experience again!"

"We stayed here for a week in august. The owners are very nice and very helpful. The property is awesome, nice and secluded but still a quick drive into indian river for anything you might need. The grounds are well taken of and there are some nice walking paths. The carriage house is very clean and well taken care of. We even had a bouqet of flowers on the table when we arrived. It has a nice, spacious bathroom (which is hard to find in a rental) The only reason i rated this 4 stars and not 5 is that the fire pit and water is 500 feet from the carriage house. The owners did make sure to tell us that we could drive our car down there, which we did and it worked out okay. Its a personal preference, we enjoy cooking over a fire, which proved to be a challenge because of the distance. We did most of our cooking on the grill (which is provided) on the gorgeous wraparound deck. All in all this is a great place to stay. We enjoyed every minute of our time there. Nothing but smiles and good times to be had!"

"The house was perfect for our group of 8, ranging from 5 years old to 65 years old! Everyone had enough space (even the three teenagers) and we didn't see any neighbors unless they were going past on their boats. Everything we needed to cook, clean and enjoy ourselves was available. The screened porch is a perfect place for early morning coffee while listening to and watching the loons. The lake is amazingly clear out to at least 12 feet deep, was warm enough to swim and there was never a problem catching fish! The beach area by the lake is a little small, but we were able to set up a place for a volleyball net in the sand by the house with enough space left for the 5 year old to play with buckets and shovels. We did not have any problems. No one was ready to leave at the end of our vacation. We hope to return next year."
