  • vacation at Hubbard lake

"We all had a great time. Lots of fun & great memories! Our grandkids, 2- 16 y rs. old & 2-12 yrs old, said this was the best vacation ever. We agree with them also. They always found something to do. Everything was very clean, neat, & very modern. The neighbors were also very pleasant. Thank you for letting us share your cottage. We hope to return next year!"

  • spacious and beautiful lodge for a large group

"This place is so spacious and comfortable, I didn't want to leave. We had a group of 15 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchens were well equipped and it was easy to cook a nice meal for a large crowd with two of everything. It was nice having the washer and dryer, especially with kids. We loved the huge covered deck with ceiling fans and large tables and chairs. The view was amazing and we even saw an eagle as we sipped our coffee on the deck one morning. The lodge is clean and beautifully decorated. I liked that one side of the lodge was nautical themed and the other side was woodsy themed. Everything was perfect. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice breeze provided by the large window in each bedroom. I loved the ceiling fans in every bed room too. We all took showers and didn't run out of hot water. The lodge was certainly built with comfort, convenience and character in mind. Long Lake is clean and clear with lots of fish. The best ones we caught were right off our own dock. We swam and thoroughly enjoyed being on the lake 24/7. The back yard is spacious and we set up a volley ball net. We also enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement. It was nice being able to spread out, if some wanted to play a board game and others wanted to watch a movie. I liked that two of the bedrooms and bathrooms were on the main floor for my elderly parents that can't maneuver stairs. We would love to make the long lake lookout lodge an annual place to gather every year. It certainly is a home away from home in every aspect. Can't wait to go again!"

  • A Wonderful Week

"Our family of 4 adults and 1 11yr. old girl had a wonderful visit at the Lily Pad. The cottage itself is a lovely and well kept home with all the amenities including plenty of storage space which is unusual in most cottages. We lucked out with a beautiful weather week in the mid to high 70's and blue skies. We enjoyed kayaking and our attempts at fishing (we'll get them next time!). We visited Petoskey, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, and Cheboygan where we ate at a delicious restaurant, Pier 33 on the river. The meal at Legs Inn in Cross Village was great as well. The cottage location is so close to so many places and activities that I still have a list of things we did not have time to do or visit. Now, if we could just get rid of those pesky mosquitoes after sunset, we would know we were close to heaven."
