  • Spring Break get away

"This is great location for all of the TC area. The apartment was clean and well stocked with everything you could need. Be sure to sit out on the deck for the sunrises and enjoy the quiet around you. Only suggestion would be a full length mirror as another person had recommended. One tip if you are not from Michigan, be sure to save your cans and bottles and take them down to the Toms Grocery Store in TC to get some cash back for recycling."

  • Perfect Lake Home!

"We loved it so much we wished it was ours! The home is beautiful. It has absolutely everything you could want or need. We travel to TN and rent cabins a lot down there but this home is just as nice, has the added benefit of all the lake activities, and is located close by. Can't wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the full benefits of the lake. Thank you to Terri and family, you have been blessed with a beautiful lake home."

  • Family Reunion

"Our family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We enjoyed having access to Lake Michigan with a short 1.5 mile hike from the park at the end of Nurmberg road. The hike is through a beautiful forest and ends right at Lake Michigan. Between the cabins and the main house we had plenty of room for everyone. The Main house had two kitchens which made it very convenient to have our Thanksgiving in July. The living room of the main house overlooks the yard and the lake and is beautifully done. The dock was able to host the 4 boats that we brought and there was plenty of parking space for everyone. The house is also conveniently located across the lake from the boat launch and Barnharts where we had a great lunch one day. Kip was also kind enough to let us park our boat trailer on his property near the boat launch so we didn't have to take it all the way to the house. Hamlin Lake offered great fishing, boating, tubing, and water skiing and we had a great time spending a day at the dunes on Lake Hamlin as well. We will be returning next year, it is a great place to hold our family reunion."

  • Up North Meets "Urban" Fun

"As two couples traveling together without our kids, this townhouse really appealed to us. Physically, it's very nice. What we also loved its location in downtown Charlevoix, within footsteps of restaurants and "nightlife." We loved the Tap Room next door (great acoustic guitar on Sunday night) for craft beers and casual dinner, or Quay across the street for a more refined dinner (try the mushroom salad and the whitefish provencal--both incredible!), or the bakery right across the street for home-baked goods and good coffee in the morning. The townhouse itself has a nice big deck and gas grill for dinner at home. In addition to Round Lake and Lake Charlevoix, Charlevoix itself is close to lots of great lakes for boaters (Torch Lake is a must--it's beautiful!), and less than an hour from Traverse City/Old Mission Peninsula wine country. Two golf courses very close by; Charlevoix more moderate while Belvedere challenging. We managed to do all of it in a week. Because you're so close to shops and restaurants, there's a good buzz of activity all around, loading and shipping happening in the back parking lot, etc. (This does not mar the gorgeous view from the deck.) If you're looking for absence of activity on a deserted lake, look elsewhere. If you like the feeling of being "downtown" (as downtown as Charlevoix can be for a town of less than 3,000 people) while also being immersed in the wonderful Up North culture with beautiful views and high-end accommodations, I would recommend. We hope to return next year!"
