  • Another Wonderful Stay!

"I just completed my 2nd stay in the Log Home on the P.M. River, and everything was great! The property was very clean, the furniture was comfortable, and the views outstanding. As usual, there was plenty of room for my group, and the kitchen had everything we needed to do our meals after a day of fishing...the comfort level was very high. We also enjoyed sharing stories around the camp fire, and many walks around the forest property. It's also great to sit out back and watch the river. We also appreciated the close proximity to our main fishing areas. This is truly an outstanding property for those seeking outdoors adventure. You are surrounded by nature, yet have uncompromising comfort...a great combination! I can't wait to get back."

  • Home away from Home

"The plan to rent this home was a last minute thing because of an issue with the rental we reserved ahead of time. We were having low expectations since it was unplanned but it turned out to be otherwise. There is a world of difference from the way the house looks from outside compared to what is inside it. You can say from the way everything is arranged in the house that the owner is very planned and organized. We stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful place, it is secluded enough to be away from all the urban havoc. It has decent set utensils for you to cook and a huge collection serving sets. We have setup a campfire one of the two nights and it turned out to be very good although the logs were a little moist inside hence it took a lot of pine wood to get started. All in all we just loved the place and I would surely recommend this to anyone."

  • A Great Location

"We had a fantastic fishing trip to the Green Cottage last weekend. What an incredible location. The location on the Pere Marquette flies only section is incredible. We just loved this place and hope we can make it an annual stop for Steelhead and possibly Salmon runs. It is not a fancy cabin but had everything we needed and the price could not be beaten. We will be looking forward to our return."

  • perfect for a get away!

"My boyfriend and i stayed 3 nights while we property shopped. We werent really sure what to expect because the pictures really dont do it justice. The location is perfect---in a quiet, quaint and friendly neighborhood with the Pere Marquette river in front. And talk about clean! Wow! And thats an understatement coming from a clean freak such as myself. No need to take any linens because it is well stocked and smell terrific. The upstairs loft is so comfy with its king bed, lazy boy, tv with satelite, huge dressers, upper door to that walkway and one heck of a view. We actually used the tray provided and had snacks up there before bed one night.the cupboards are stocked with nice clean dishes, pans, crockpot, micro, toaster, coffe maker coffee filters, ect. I would recommend taking spices if you , like to cook though but there is salt and pepper.Gas grill is like new, also. There were even chocolates in a dish, travel size shampoo, conditioner and a nice oatmeal soap! Much, much more than I expected. Also a hair dryer, girls! The couch is nice leather, it might pull out but we didnt look and there are nice fuzzy blankets to snuggle in with which was great because that river is c o l d. Shower and bathroom is very clean--skip the flip flops this trip! I might take a child, but the sleeping quarters are on different floors (if that couch opens). We just took our dog. There are games also. We met the owners the last day who were very nice. Very detail oriented. I say YES! Stay here for a quiet relaxing get away. We did have one regret however... we spent all of our days driving around the state looking for our own get away and werent able to relax, fish, canoe and play there except for about 5 hours. I did do some swimming with the dog while scott fished though and that little bit was great"
