  • Relaxing fall weekend away.

"My husband and I had a wonderful three night stay in this cabin this fall, (2014). It is close to Lake Michigan - in fact if you stay in the bedroom facing the lake, and don't close the blinds, that is what you wake up to in the morning - a view of Lake Michigan! We brought our lab, Cecelia, and she loved it. We went for walks down the beach with her several times. Though the cabin is old, it is nicely kept, and has everything you need. In the evenings, my husband and I would sit out on the screened porch and watch the sunset while Celia nosed around in the little plot of trees near the cabin, and in the sand. As most of us Michiganders know…there is no place like Lake Michigan! We only used the main floor of the cabin but there is also a large area upstairs with beds. This would be a fun cabin for a family vacation as well. And you're not far from Charlevoix or Petoskey here. We came here to relax so we were not looking for activities in town, but we know if we'd wanted to eat out or go to different events, that they were available to us. We came here for the view and time away together. The view was fantastic and the time away was peaceful and fun."

  • Delightful lake escape

"The house is spacious, especially the master suite and common areas. The kitchen is particularly well equipped. There are multiple comfortable sleeping areas. The waterside area has a marvelous cabana and beach, fire pits, and dock. The south arm of Lake Charlevoix is great for water sports and it's a short drive to Charlevoix."

"My whole family enjoyed this Thanksgiving at this house. There was a lot to do in spite of the bad weather. It was very clean and well supplied with everything we needed."

  • Taste of the Season Wine Weekend

"What a great weekend! The house was more than we had expected for our group consisting of five couples. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the utensils needed for our three night stay. The indoor pool , hot tub and sauna were a wonderful end to a day of site seeing and wine tasting. We ate in all three nights but there are plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute stroll if you do not feel like cooking. If shopping is what you enjoy, the quaint little shops, with unique one of a kind gifts, will be right up your alley. We had a wonderful and relaxing break from reality and plan on going back next year."
