  • Just Right For Us

"We had an awesome time and Sandy (owner/manager) made us feel so very welcome and took care of all our questions and helped meet our requests and needs. We loved the access to Crystal River right outside our patio door and the quick easy walk over the dunes to Lake Michigan. The condo was small but perfect for just the two of us--it had all we needed and more. The decor' was so cute and fit the lake location. Most importantly the condo was super clean! The location was awesome for taking in the area sights (Glen Arbor, Leland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, great restaurants, shopping, wineries, simply beautiful views) and just enjoying the Homestead grounds. We even took a ski lift ride to enjoy Music on the Mountain in the Homestead Resort. We simply loved the whole experience and heartily recommend this condo for a single person or couple."

"Thank you for a great weekend get a way. We enjoyed the Fall colors and the cooler weather. Evenings by the fire and in the hot tub were just the relaxation we needed. Thank for allowing us to rent your cabin!"

  • week away in August

"My husband and I came here for a getaway in August. We love the Leelanau area and like to come up and travel around the entire area. The lovely cottage is not too far off the beaten path and it is very well taken care of on the inside. And the country roads are so fun to drive around on you get used to it quickly. My husband loves to fish and had great luck the few times he went out using the row boat available at the cottage - perch, bass and blue gill. It is my fault for not inquiring but the steep hike down to the lake (although even steeper returning - lol!) caught be my surprise. We had brought our kayaks but one of them weighs over 70 lbs and we did not think it would be wise to attempt carrying it down the steep hike or back up. Perhaps if you have a 4x4 truck it would be doable? The home is stocked with everything you could need - fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, satellite TV, lots of games and books to peruse. The owners did a fantastic job making it a warm and inviting home. We hated to leave. Leelanau County is truly a gem. Not to be missed: swimming at Christmas Cove in Northport, breakfast at Martha's (Suttons Bay) and dinner at 9 Bean Rows (also Suttons Bay) and always, Fishtown!"

  • Wonderful family vacation home!

"We have finally found the perfect vacation home. After renting lovely homes on for the last six years, this is the first home we're planning a return trip. We're booked for next year. The home is spacious and well laid out. The first floor has a beautiful kitchen, dining area and great room. The first floor bedroom was perfect for my parents. Upstairs, the other four bedrooms were perfect for two couples and plenty of kids. Outside the deck, fire pit and beach are all within a few feet of each other, making them perfect for everyone to do their own thing, while still interacting with the entire family. Lake Bellaire is beautiful. We brought our boat and spent hours waterskiing and tubing. (the water is very shallow, so some boats may have difficulty navigating to the dock.) And all the kids had a ball playing on the paddleboat, canoe and kayak. The home is clean and the property is wooded and very private. You can't see any neighboring homes. Just a couple days into our vacation this year, we emailed the owner and booked our vacation for next year. 2014 can't come soon enough! Thanks again, Melissa!"
