"Eagles Wings Lodge was a beautiful place. Don't be discourage by the location(right off the road) and first impression of the front of the lodge because once you step inside and enjoy the backyard, you'll be extremely satisfied. We were!!"

  • Great secluded getaway!

"I spent four days at this chalet in the woods near Cross Village. It is a wonderful, tastefully decorated place with a complete kitchen. The weather was a bit cold and windy but I was very comfortable in the cabin. A soft easy chair made for a fine place to read, listen to music, and write in my journal. I had one Polish dinner at Legs Inn and enjoyed a couple of delicious pot pies from Good Hart General Store. One lovely, hilly hike on the North Country Trail in Wilderness State Park was a good way to enjoy the fall colors. But returning back to this special A-frame was always special. I hope to return for another visit. This would be a great escape for couples or a solo like me."

  • Relaxing Family Vacation!

"We had a wonderful time staying in this chalet for vacation. The house had all the amenities we needed. We really enjoyed the rowboat and canoe for use at any time - we used them almost every day. The owners took us out on their pontoon boat for a tour around the lake -what a treat! The area was very quiet, not too many rentals, so there wasn't much activity during the day. You practically had the lake to yourself! While there are not a ton of activities in the immediate vicinity, it is not very far from places like Traverse City, which made for a nice excursion. We also went to the local dairy farm (as recommended by the chalet owners), where all the milking is done by robots! Pretty neat, and the farm owner was very nice and knowledgeable. We would definitely consider it for a return trip!"

  • Cottage on the Lake

"My husband and I were all set to vacation at this beautiful cottage but unfortunately we had to cancel. The owner Joe, was so very gracious about the cancellation, understanding the circumstances. The communication I had with him initially was professional yet personal as he gave information on activities and areas surrounding the cottage that would possibly be an interest for us. Joe was easy to get a hold of and response time was within 24 hours. We definitely look forward to rescheduling. Thank you Joe, you are the kind of person that we like to interact with."
