  • Great for large families

"Stayed here for three nights in August. Had a great time. Would visit again. Some details: This cabin is located in a development that has many other units. Though they are spread out nicely, and your neighboring cabins are not an issue at all. This unit in particular is located on a pretty steep lot. Really only an issue if you expected to have kids play outside. We had to watch the doors pretty closely to make sure they didn't wander outside. (Also the the deck has a rail that kids cannot slip under or over - however - the sliding door did not lock and this was a little inconvenient when trying to keep the kids inside) The cabin itself was very clean, and large. The cabin is set up on three floors. Walkout basement floor has two bedrooms, a shower bathroom, and sort of lounge/wet bar area. Washer and dryer, and ironing board. The walkout backs up to mostly low to the ground foliage, and not much else. You can see the lake in the distance. But the grounds around the cabin are not very user friendly. Main floor has large dining table (can seat 8 comfortably) living area, with sofa and two chairs. Full kitchen. Bedroom with queen. Walkout deck with grill, table for 4-5 people, and hot tub. The hot tub was great. Very clean and well kept. You could tell it was serviced regularly. Full bathroom. The loft had a master bedroom, and bathroom. Both were very nice. The best part about the cabin had to be the location. Its located up the drive (2-3 min drive) from Deer Lake where there is a beach, tons of activities (paddle board, kayaking, sailing, bean bags, walk up bar) the water was shallow and warm. You could walk out literally hundred of feet and still be in knee deep water. It was perfect for the small kids. (ages 1-7) Located minutes from downtown Boyne City, and about 15 mins from Petoskey. Also just mins (5 mins) from the water park (Avalanche Bay) in case you have a rain day. Very good communication from the property manager, and just an overall great experience."

  • Cousin time

"We have rented different years around Northern Michigan, a place for grandchildren and adults to spend time together. I have always enjoyed where we have been but this year, the very best! The condo is wonderfully ready for anything we needed. It is close to Deer Lake, best day ever and the main lodge for all the evening activities. My grandchildren enjoyed the lofted bedroom together with their own TV and the adults enjoyed our time together downstairs. I do hope to repeat this next summer."

  • Peace in Michigan

"We enjoyed a great week at Rob's Boyne get away. We had wonderful camp fires with songs and smors. It is very peaceful and we enjoyed seeing deer and chipmunks and an eagle. Lots of great northern Michigan towns near by to explore, and Mackinac Island if you want to go back in time. The home was very clean and the three floors allowed us to spread out and have privacy. Boyne Mountain Resort offered lots for the grand kids to do. A great family vacation."

  • Great Condo!!! Highly Recommend

"Had a wonderful time in this impeccably clean 3 bedroom/3 Bath condo. It was perfect for our family of 6. The location is ideal because the 'backyard' is wooded and backs up to the ski run. It's a 5 minute walk to the Boyne Mountain resort. It comes complete with a fully stocked kitchen and each bedroom has a tv, plus one in the family room. The pictures and the description represent the condo accurately. Took full advantage of the summer events at Boyne Mountain including the free chairlift rides, outdoor games on the grass courtyard, laundry facilities, Kilwin's Fudge shop and the beach at Deer Lake. Kayaked down the Boyne River. Dave is easy to work with and responds on a very timely basis. He recommended restaurants in the area. We ate at the The Beach House on Deer Lake (Boyne Mountain resort restaurant) and Bella Vita which is located just north of Boyne City on the east side of Lake Charlevoix. Both served delicious meals and great ambiance. I highly recommend this condo for families who like the amenities of a resort (pool, golf, tennis, beach) but want the privacy of their own 'home'. Great place to stay."
