"These are excellent rental units. We rented two separate units, and were extremely pleased with both. We are also repeat renters. We experienced all of the luxuries of home, plus some. There are gas fireplaces, full kitchens, very spacious bedrooms with individual bathrooms, and living rooms that are cozy and inviting. The units are beautifully decorated and extremely clean. I would recommend these units to anyone and everyone."

  • Great for large families

"Stayed here for three nights in August. Had a great time. Would visit again. Some details: This cabin is located in a development that has many other units. Though they are spread out nicely, and your neighboring cabins are not an issue at all. This unit in particular is located on a pretty steep lot. Really only an issue if you expected to have kids play outside. We had to watch the doors pretty closely to make sure they didn't wander outside. (Also the the deck has a rail that kids cannot slip under or over - however - the sliding door did not lock and this was a little inconvenient when trying to keep the kids inside) The cabin itself was very clean, and large. The cabin is set up on three floors. Walkout basement floor has two bedrooms, a shower bathroom, and sort of lounge/wet bar area. Washer and dryer, and ironing board. The walkout backs up to mostly low to the ground foliage, and not much else. You can see the lake in the distance. But the grounds around the cabin are not very user friendly. Main floor has large dining table (can seat 8 comfortably) living area, with sofa and two chairs. Full kitchen. Bedroom with queen. Walkout deck with grill, table for 4-5 people, and hot tub. The hot tub was great. Very clean and well kept. You could tell it was serviced regularly. Full bathroom. The loft had a master bedroom, and bathroom. Both were very nice. The best part about the cabin had to be the location. Its located up the drive (2-3 min drive) from Deer Lake where there is a beach, tons of activities (paddle board, kayaking, sailing, bean bags, walk up bar) the water was shallow and warm. You could walk out literally hundred of feet and still be in knee deep water. It was perfect for the small kids. (ages 1-7) Located minutes from downtown Boyne City, and about 15 mins from Petoskey. Also just mins (5 mins) from the water park (Avalanche Bay) in case you have a rain day. Very good communication from the property manager, and just an overall great experience."

  • Spacious & Close to Nature

"My boyfriend & I stayed here over the Labor Day weekend and were amazing at how well maintained the lake house was -- exceeded our expectations! The lake house (really more than a cabin or cottage) was roomy, very clean, and had a lot of amenities. Tons of fresh clean towels, linens all clean, and fully stocked kitchen... just to name a few! There's also a dishwasher and washer/dryer WITH detergent for use. The lake itself is peaceful, although very shallow. The lake bottom was a bit mucky, and very shallow out past 100' from shore. We enjoyed the chairs that were situated right by the lake shore in the mornings while drinking coffee, and bonfires in the fire pit. The owners were kind enough to leave a barrel of wood for us to use, and gracious enough to let us take the paddle boat out on the lake. That was probably one of the highlights of my visit. Sunsets were amazing!! Very close to Petoskey and the Lake Michigan shoreline, if you were looking to get away for a day-trip. Boyne City is quaint and has a lot to offer, very close by. Highly recommend this lake house to anyone, whether you're group is big or small. We would love to come back for another visit -- this time staying longer than a holiday weekend."

  • Family Favorite

"This home was roomy for our large family of 10, and could easily accommodated more. It has 2 family rooms, washer and dryer and is walking distance to the Boyne lodge. Basic ammendaties and a practical choice for a fair price. The lack of internet in the home was a plus for us to get our teenagers and young adult children to get unplugged for a little while, until the kids discovered the internet at Boyne lodge. It was quiet and private with the wooded area in the back. Would like to have screens on the windows to enjoy the fresh air at night. We would definately rent again."
