  • Great for an autumn getaway

"Rented by ~15 for an extended holiday weekend in October. The home is very cozy, yet comforably sleeps a very large amount of people. We made fires, cooked (and grilled), used the hot tob a lot, and also rented the pontoon boat. We also rented the "Clubhouse." Cadillac is nicely situated for a day trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes or Traverse City, and we also went on a few short hikes in the area. While we decided to drive up at a fairly chilly time of year, the house was a great base for an autumn trip, as well as the summer vacations that other reviewers seem to have enjoyed. John and Laurie were quick in their responses to questions, and their local maintenance man was very helpful in assisting with the pontoon boat. All in all a great time!"

  • Riverfront property on the Pine River, a national scenic river way.

"This immaculate home is designed to enhance the million dollar view of the Pine River. View the river from the living room, dining room, kitchen and upstairs den. I like everything about this home including the art pieces, the comfortable beds and the cleanliness. Deck chairs and river tubes are provided by the owners. I kayaked to the home from Skokum access, had lunch then continued down to Lincoln Bridge for a perfect 4 hour float. The next day I floated from the home to Dobson bridge for another 4 hour float trip. The third day was spent on the busier section of the Pine river from Dobson to Low Bridge. The owners also own Pine River Paddle Sports and can outfit you or just give you paddling information."

  • Great Vacation

"Our family (including our dog) enjoyed a wonderful stay here. The owners are very polite and helpful. The home is nice clean and comfortable, stocked with pretty much anything you would need. Fishing wasn't the best but several other lakes in the area to try out as well. The lake was clean and not to busy to enjoy water sports. Quite area and friendly neighbors. Will be planning another visit!"

  • Modern cottage on a quiet lake-Great place to unwind and watch the water & relax.

"This cottage had all the conveniences of home internet service, A/C for summer and a great automatic gas fireplace in the family room. It has a unique stairway (firemen pole with wood steps winding to the 2nd floor sleeping loft). We slept up there and it had windows high on the cottage looking into the branches of the tree and some great views too. We only stayed 2 nights Sat & Sun and seen nobody on the lake. Only a cat peered in the sliding glass window at us and ran away, then a chipmunk looking for food by the water. The fall foliage on the other side of the road was very pretty. The weather was great 50's and sunny daytime and 30's at night for Michigan in mid October. There is a bedroom on the 1st floor for those that can't do stairs. Thanks to the owners for sharing their cottage, it is a great place kick off your shoes soak in the scenery."
