"We loved the location as could walk to town or the beach easily. Lots to see downtown, restaurants, grocery stores, shops. etc. The house allowed us to spread out. Low ceiling in bedrooms were hard on the heads; washing machine access was handy but down in a musty yucky basement. Great yard for little kids. Bring your own indoor games as not many in the house. If house was cleaner would have been excellent....not that it was bad...just needed some TLC."

"Had a beautiful weekend. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. The house was beautiful and nice and peaceful for getting away from everyday woes. We loved sightseeing through the tunnel of trees along the shore line. It was also nice to have a fully stocked kitchen and fully stocked towels. Definitely recommend for any couples get away or a girls weekend;)."

"Stayed here over the Harvest Stompede weekend... Property was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Great location on the lake, convenient for wine tasting in the peninsula or a short drive into Traverse City! Exceptional value compared to hotels in the area. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!"

"As two couples traveling together without our kids, this townhouse really appealed to us. Physically, it's very nice. What we also loved its location in downtown Charlevoix, within footsteps of restaurants and "nightlife." We loved the Tap Room next door (great acoustic guitar on Sunday night) for craft beers and casual dinner, or Quay across the street for a more refined dinner (try the mushroom salad and the whitefish provencal--both incredible!), or the bakery right across the street for home-baked goods and good coffee in the morning. The townhouse itself has a nice big deck and gas grill for dinner at home. In addition to Round Lake and Lake Charlevoix, Charlevoix itself is close to lots of great lakes for boaters (Torch Lake is a must--it's beautiful!), and less than an hour from Traverse City/Old Mission Peninsula wine country. Two golf courses very close by; Charlevoix more moderate while Belvedere challenging. We managed to do all of it in a week.
Because you're so close to shops and restaurants, there's a good buzz of activity all around, loading and shipping happening in the back parking lot, etc. (This does not mar the gorgeous view from the deck.) If you're looking for absence of activity on a deserted lake, look elsewhere. If you like the feeling of being "downtown" (as downtown as Charlevoix can be for a town of less than 3,000 people) while also being immersed in the wonderful Up North culture with beautiful views and high-end accommodations, I would recommend. We hope to return next year!"
