  • Great location

"We loved the location as could walk to town or the beach easily. Lots to see downtown, restaurants, grocery stores, shops. etc. The house allowed us to spread out. Low ceiling in bedrooms were hard on the heads; washing machine access was handy but down in a musty yucky basement. Great yard for little kids. Bring your own indoor games as not many in the house. If house was cleaner would have been excellent....not that it was bad...just needed some TLC."

  • Beautiful home away from home in Northern Michigan

"We had a wonderful stay at this amazing home. You can't beat the location - just three blocks from downtown, the large wrap around porch with a swing was the best place to hangout and the home had so much character and was great for our large family! Not to mention you are a stones throw from lake michigan and it's beautiful sunsets! We can't wait to plan our trip for next summer and stay here."

  • Best place yet!

"I have several friends who get together every year or two since grad school. We are all around 40, some with kids, others single or recently married. We all stayed at this cottage and had a wonderful time. We have stayed in New York City, North Carolina's outer banks, Vermont, and two places further south on Lake Michigan (near Saugatuck.) However, everyone agreed that this place was the best we had ever rented! We usually stay right on a big body of water, but it was really great to have a large in-land lake, as Lake Michigan was so cold this year. It is a short drive to multiple beaches (and of course the dunes!), but this summer it was too cold to swim in Lake Michigan. So, having the sandy bottomed inland lake was great. We also took advantage of the kayaks, paddle-board and sunfish, along with the indoor games of pool, ping-pong & Foosball. The house was in immaculate condition. Many of my friends commented that they thought that the house was too nice to rent out! There are beautiful hardwood floors, nice furniture, actual artwork, and a large custom kitchen that was well stocked with everything needed to cook large meals. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we would definitely rent this cottage again."

  • Fabulous Rental Home

"This is the second time we have rented this place. It is phenomenal. Since the last time we (group of friends) were there, an outdoor kitchen and hot tub have been added. The home has the most up-to-date appliances, everything is clean and in good repair, kitchen is well appointed, comfortable furnishings, more than you can expect in many rentals. The location is also excellent for seeing the peninsula. We probably visited 20 wineries in 2 days, all conveniently located. The house is a particularly good value if you rent in the off season, a great time of year for wine country. Don't pass this one up!"
