  • A great experience

"The owner, Cheryl, keeps her house in pristine condition and was especially attentive to our needs, both before and during the trip. There were four of us in the house and we had plenty of space and absolutely everything we could have needed in the way of supplies, linens, towels, games, movies, beach toys, you name it. The beach was great for the kids. A bonus was the diving platform anchored off the beach. Kids loved it."

  • Excellent Escape in Northern Michigan

"We had a great time at the cottage. The cottage was well maintained and clean upon our arrival. The owner met us there to show us around and make sure we knew how everything worked. We appreciated the updated kitchen and bathroom and found the kitchen suitable stocked the few times we decided to cook. The large patio area was great. It was also really nice to have internet and cable on the one day it just wouldn’t stop raining. The cottage itself is just off a main road tucked away with 4-5 others cabins/houses. All the properties are very close together but we never experienced any issues and all the neighbors were very friendly. The cabin doesn’t have an amazing lake view but it is still very picturesque and there is lake access (including a dock) for fishing and boating. There is also a beach about a five minute drive down the road. Our favorite part of the cabin was that it was central to everywhere we wanted to go. During our stay we managed to visit Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Torch Lake, Lake Michigan, and Mackinaw Island along with stops in the smaller towns in the area. If you’re looking for a “home base” that allows you to explore Northern Michigan this would be a great pick. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to come back in the future."

  • Peaceful Get-Away

"We are frequent VRBO customers and have rented properties from many different owners in numerous states. But, our favorite destination is always the Chain-Of-Lakes near Bellaire. This year, we decided to try a new rental home, and we are so very pleased that we did so. This beautiful lakefront cottage is everything it claims to be, plus more. The private, peaceful setting is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from the hussle and bustle of their daily lives. The home is well-maintained, clean and spacious. With plush bedding and bathroom linens, it felt like we were staying in 5-star resort. The screened-in porch became our jigsaw puzzle room and the deck, with its stunning view and comfortable seating, was our dining room for the week. I loved the gourmet kitchen and appreciated having every cooking and serving necessity at my fingertips. The sturdy, modern dock easily accomodated our 18-foot boat and the smooth water of Benway Lake was our playground for early morning water skiing. Afternoons were spent boating up to Ellsworth or down to Intermediate Lake, with sitings of loon and river otters along the way. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a private, peaceful lake-side retreat. We are looking forward to our vacation in this home again next year."
