"Our family of 5 (3 teenagers and 2 parents) had a wonderful, relaxing time on Intermediate Lake at Critt's Cove. We cannot say how nice the lodging was! There was plenty of space for all of us - we could have brought friends for the kids and they all would have had a bed. The outside patio, beach, dock, swim area, and fire pit were perfect for us hanging outside and enjoying the fabulous Michigan weather. We love to cook and the kitchen and grill outside were perfect and well equipped for all that we made. The grocery stores in Bellaire and Central Lake were all that we needed for our supplies and they were also affordable. The lake was just the perfect size for us. We sunbathed, fished, and swam (even if it was a bit chilly - it was only June 20th!) Cheryl was kind enough to give us a tour on her pontoon. My husband and I checked out Short's Brewing Company in Bellaire on Thursday night. Great crowd, micro brews, and a live band. We took day trips to Mackinac Island and to the Sand Dunes. Both were great day trips with plenty of stops along the way for other interesting towns. I recommend the cherry pies from King's Orchard north of Central Lake on M88! Their strawberries (which had just come in) were to die for.
Cheryl has outfitted this unit with everything you can think of: marshmallow skewers, the dishes and kitchen utensils you need, basic spices, maps and brochures for the area, clothes line with plenty of clothes pins, fire starters, flashlights, plenty of wood for the fire pit, badminton/volleyball net, umbrellas for the sun, beach toys, plenty of bath towels, shower supplies, hand soap, dish soap, etc. etc.
I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a place to stay on the lake. I hope we are able to make the trip again. I wish we could have stayed longer!"
