  • Would Return Again

"Our visit to Charlevoix (my first) exceeded our expectations. The town and surrounding locations suggest a return is needed in the near future. Our vacation rental more then fit our group of 7, and all the amenities were in working order. Noteworthy, a mishap beyond the owner's control required her attention upon our arrival. I was more then pleased how quickly she responded to remedy the situation, so as not to adversly affect our visit. I would recommend this lodging to anyone considering Charlevoix."

  • Outstanding property & location

"This was our second time spending a week at this property, and we definitely plan to return annually. The house is very spacious and clean, with three stories and plenty of room for our entire group of 6 adults and 4 children. The back yard is very large, the beach has a lot of sand for the little ones, and the lake near the shore is very shallow (and sandy) for at least the first 100 ft. which was perfect for the kids. We used the fire pit almost nightly, and took short car rides daily to Boyne City, Charlevoix, Petosky, Bay Harbor, and Harbor Springs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a very nice place to stay on an inland lake "up north.""

  • Love, Love, LOVE This Place!

"Did I mention that we love this place?! You must rent this house. Seriously. It is adorable, clean, comfy, quiet, and remote yet still in easy driving distance to all of the local towns and sights. You can take a quick walk across the quiet and rarely traveled road to the beach, or take an early morning and late evening stroll down the tree lined street to the park. Christina was so easy to work with and so nice, she is very responsive and answers any and all questions in a flash. We just got home a few days ago and we already received our refund for our deposit. WOW! We cannot wait to come back again next year!!"

  • Up North Meets "Urban" Fun

"As two couples traveling together without our kids, this townhouse really appealed to us. Physically, it's very nice. What we also loved its location in downtown Charlevoix, within footsteps of restaurants and "nightlife." We loved the Tap Room next door (great acoustic guitar on Sunday night) for craft beers and casual dinner, or Quay across the street for a more refined dinner (try the mushroom salad and the whitefish provencal--both incredible!), or the bakery right across the street for home-baked goods and good coffee in the morning. The townhouse itself has a nice big deck and gas grill for dinner at home. In addition to Round Lake and Lake Charlevoix, Charlevoix itself is close to lots of great lakes for boaters (Torch Lake is a must--it's beautiful!), and less than an hour from Traverse City/Old Mission Peninsula wine country. Two golf courses very close by; Charlevoix more moderate while Belvedere challenging. We managed to do all of it in a week. Because you're so close to shops and restaurants, there's a good buzz of activity all around, loading and shipping happening in the back parking lot, etc. (This does not mar the gorgeous view from the deck.) If you're looking for absence of activity on a deserted lake, look elsewhere. If you like the feeling of being "downtown" (as downtown as Charlevoix can be for a town of less than 3,000 people) while also being immersed in the wonderful Up North culture with beautiful views and high-end accommodations, I would recommend. We hope to return next year!"
