"Our stay in Charlevoix was delightful. Along with fantastic weather we had the opportunity to stay in this lovely cottage in Pine Lakes. The cottage was well-maintained and had many nice extras-new gas grill, patio fronting the lake, fire pit and was nicely furnished. We were able to enjoy the beach, ride our bikes on the quiet roads within the community, enjoy sunsets and all the peace and tranquility the area offered. It was a wonderful way to celebrate with my sister and her husband their 41st wedding anniversary as well as our 46th. We are hoping to have the opportunity to return next year around the same time."Guest: Barb D. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 17, 2014View listing
"This was our second time spending a week at this property, and we definitely plan to return annually. The house is very spacious and clean, with three stories and plenty of room for our entire group of 6 adults and 4 children. The back yard is very large, the beach has a lot of sand for the little ones, and the lake near the shore is very shallow (and sandy) for at least the first 100 ft. which was perfect for the kids. We used the fire pit almost nightly, and took short car rides daily to Boyne City, Charlevoix, Petosky, Bay Harbor, and Harbor Springs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a very nice place to stay on an inland lake "up north.""Guest: Jeffrey H. "All of our friends and family know that yearly we eagerly return to our "Magic Miniature Mushroom House" on Lake Muchigan. This year was no exception; the warm welcome by Karen and Phil; the ice bucket with champagne and the tray of good cheese, crackers, fresh-picked raspberries; the clean comfy cottage, the piles of fresh towels and linens, the cupboards stocked with all the cooking basics, the generous supply of wood for the firepit, the comfortable furniture on the extensive lawns sweeping down to Lake Muchigan; the beautiful days and glorious sunsets -- what more could one ask for in a holiday rental?! Next year, of course!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 26, 2014View listing
"As a Michigander, I have gone "up north" for many summer vacations and experienced different places . This log home is the cutting edge! It has everything: a beautiful inside decor with all the conveniences and the natural beautiful decor outside plus the convenience of WiFi. You can spend your entire time there in this peaceful setting or it is located near the charming town of Charlevoix and close to many other areas to visit, to name a few: Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Suttons Bay, Leland, the Sand Dunes and a day trip to Mackinaw Island. The beach area is lovely - you can swim or boat right in front of the cottage or sit on the upper deck and watch the waves or go down a few steps and walk the sandy beach looking for Petoskey stones. Even rainy days are picturesque and Lake Michigan has beautiful sunsets. This Lodge is a wonderful place to vacation for a large family or a few people."Guest: Mari-Anne Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 31, 2014View listing
