  • Front Porch Perfection

"The front porch was by far our favorite feature of the fabulous Shore Cabin! It is a great place to eat breakfast in the morning or dinner in the evening enjoying the sunset. Screened in so no bugs allowed! We were impressed from the moment we pulled in the driveway. It is exactly as advertised. VERY CLEAN. Has everything you need in the kitchen. Private beach access was excellent. We walked down to the beach every day and only saw 6 people the entire week. Everything you need for the beach was right there. No need to pack up chairs, umbrellas or toys for the kids. Ideal location right on M119. Enjoyed watching the bicyclists ride the tunnel of trees from the front porch. Close enough to town to pick up anything you may have forgotten, but far enough away to enjoy some solitude. Pet friendly for sure! Plenty of property around the cabin and an amazing opportunity to play in the water. The owner's were outstanding hosts. Timely and thorough communication throughout the entire process. Made sure we knew how to reach them if we needed anything. Stay at Shore Cabin you will not be disappointed!"

  • Spacious & Close to Nature

"My boyfriend & I stayed here over the Labor Day weekend and were amazing at how well maintained the lake house was -- exceeded our expectations! The lake house (really more than a cabin or cottage) was roomy, very clean, and had a lot of amenities. Tons of fresh clean towels, linens all clean, and fully stocked kitchen... just to name a few! There's also a dishwasher and washer/dryer WITH detergent for use. The lake itself is peaceful, although very shallow. The lake bottom was a bit mucky, and very shallow out past 100' from shore. We enjoyed the chairs that were situated right by the lake shore in the mornings while drinking coffee, and bonfires in the fire pit. The owners were kind enough to leave a barrel of wood for us to use, and gracious enough to let us take the paddle boat out on the lake. That was probably one of the highlights of my visit. Sunsets were amazing!! Very close to Petoskey and the Lake Michigan shoreline, if you were looking to get away for a day-trip. Boyne City is quaint and has a lot to offer, very close by. Highly recommend this lake house to anyone, whether you're group is big or small. We would love to come back for another visit -- this time staying longer than a holiday weekend."

  • Huge Lake and Great Location

"The lake is nearly 2000 acres and had no other boating traffic (Even on the Weekend!). We enjoyed the walk out shoreline and having the state park close by we were able to use the sandy beach with our small children. The cottage was in close proximity to the sand dunes and downtown Travers City which was nice to go to for shopping and fine dinning."

  • Cosy

"The pictures represented the interior of the cabin exactly. I guess that 4 could sleep there, but it would be awfully cramped. The bedroom is a little to small for the bed. That being said, it was very plush and comfy. The literature describing the cottage said that there would be a bottle of sparkling wine awaiting our arrival, there was none. We were very disappointed as it had been a long drive to get there and we were looking forward to it. I e-mailed the operators of the property and they sent a bottle over the next day. I will say that the pictures of the outside lead me to believe that the cottage faced the water, instead they faced the city park that the property buts up to. We weren't to happy about that either. We definitely had a bad first impression, however we grew to really like the place. we would definitely stay there again"
