"What a beautiful week we had at Lillacotta. We felt comfortable from the minute we arrived. The owners made a special effort in welcoming us with a bottle of wine and a bag of other treats. The view is fantastic and the cottage is very clean and fresh. They have thought of everything to make our stay wonderful. Northport is a charming town and the area is so beautiful with many scenic sites. We can't say enough about how great this place is."

"We love Traverse City in the fall!! The colors are incredibly beautiful and the city is less busy because all of the tourists have left. This house is set back and surrounded by trees so it was a perfect secluded setting for a color tour week.
The home was absolutely beautiful when we first walked in. There was plenty of space for all six of us- we each had our own corner of the house. We even had a small baby with us and could not hear him cry during the night. It was very nice to have a fully stocked kitchen and laundry available, the only problem was the fact that we couldn't figure out how to use the oven. We also could not figure out the heat very well but were able to get it adjusted quickly so that everyone was comfortable. Everything else was pretty self-explanatory and the owners had a very detailed list and directions for us.
It was a very short trip into town- only 15 minutes from a Meijer, which was VERY convenient! We went out to dinner every night and tried all of the local (and not so local) breweries! We went to the Jolly Pumpkin, North Peak, 7 Monks, and Shorts (about an hour and fifteen mins away, but VERY worth it!) We also did some wine tasting; Black Star Farms and Chateau Grand Traverse are a must!! The local farmers market wasn’t very big because of it being so close to fall and the shops at the Grand Traverse Commons were pretty disappointing with the exception to Trattoria Stella for lunch- it was pretty pricey but definitely worth it!
We were able to go fishing quite a bit- the Walleye fishing on Long Lake was amazing! The boat launch is a short trip away from the dock and a very easy in and out. Getting the boat up and down the driveway took a little skill though. The dock needed a small amount of work but held our boat for the entire week without any problems.
The owners were great! They communicate quickly and efficiently. We did not have any issues while we were there that needed their attention. They sent everything we needed ahead of time and everything went off without a hitch.
We would absolutely stay here again! It was such a beautiful place and within a short distance to the city but far enough away to stay out of the traffic."

"We cannot say enough good things about this home and location. After traveling to Michigan more times than we can count for our family vacations, we have finally found the spot we will come back to for our up north trips. The home is on point with a beautiful blend of style, comfort, and a touch of sweet rustic lake home appeal. You will immediately feel at home and welcomed as everything you need or want in a vacation home is ready and waiting for you. The location is fabulous on the "big lake" with breathtaking sunsets, beautiful water views and can you say blue? The water color and clarity is comparable to none. Fires on the beach with s'mores and your favorite beverage watching the sun set will become your evening ritual. While being private and not too close to neighbors, the proximity to town is excellent so your car can stay parked if you choose. Being just off one of Glen Arbor's main streets, it is so much fun walking into town for dining, shopping, kayaking, biking, and hiking. For the days when you do want to hop in your car but not go far for some more exploring, you are within very short drives to the Big and Little Glen Lakes, Sleeping Bear Dunes, the cities of Leland, Sutton's Bay and Empire. Did I mention fishing? Bring your boat or rent one here. So many options and lakes that produce great results! We had a fabulous vacation in this lovely home, so much so we wish we could have stayed even longer! We can't recommend a better place to stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at Duneswater. This is our second time renting this home and it has everything we needed and more. The only downside was that all our linens and towels had to be washed and dried by 11:00 check out time. We had to get up at 6:30 am to start showers and the wash so it was all done in time for the 8 of us. It would have been better to strip beds and start wash for the clean up crew. I found this to be a hassle our last morning."
