  • Perfect get-away house

"We rented this house to attend a family wedding at the nearby Brengman Brothers Vineyard and it was perfect. We had 3 families stay there and had beds for 3 sets of parents and all the kids. The home is well appointed and we didn't have to invest in any small items like bottle openers or sharp knives. The location is quiet but only 5 minutes from town and 20 minutes from downtown Traverse City."

  • Simply Charming

"The cabin was clean, charming and nicely decorated. It was the perfect size for 4 of us, but definitely would accomodate 6. It's a quick walk to the beach. I didn't count steps, but seeing other properties with the endless staircases made me appreciate our easy walk to the beach. The beach is a combination of sand and rocks, but there is plenty of sandy beach on the stretch. My kids (11& 14) chose to make a game of standing on the giant rocks and jumping off. This was our first time in northern Michigan. The view and water were breathtaking. We spotted an eagle every evening around 5pm looking for his evening meal. The house is located close to the Good Hart General Store, which is perfect for simple items. The draw for the store is that it's the only place for miles around for food. It's on M119 (tunnel of trees), which makes it a perfect stop for those doing the scenic tour up Lake Michigan. A few adorable shops and a delicious Crepes stand make it the perfect place to get a snack or even an "on the go" meal. Oh, and the pies at Good Hart…both sweet and savory. Worth it. It was close enough to do a day trip to Harbor Springs or Mackinaw. Back to the house: The owners were very helpful in answering my questions and letting us know what to expect and what we might need to bring. They really had everything there that we needed to enjoy our stay. The dishwasher was a nice bonus as well. :-) We were able to get cell phone reception, but it truly was about "checking out" for awhile. No wifi or television. The kids brought DVD's to watch when they needed some down time or the weather was bad. We had a great time."

  • 2014 Review

"We do an annual family & friends ski/snowmobile vacation for nine nights and have rented this home over a period of many, many years. It is probably the biggest rental house in Harbor Springs with eight bathrooms and seven bedrooms and a well-stocked and very large kitchen that can accommodate a host of cooks -- no such thing as too many cooks in the kitchen with this house. The owners and the rental agency are very accommodating and easy to deal with and make every effort to insure their guests’ comfort. Ditto for the housekeeper/caretaker who quickly responds to any questions or issues and maintains a high standard of cleanliness and helpfulness. Owners also allowed a dog one year without charge which helped us out considerably. Hot tub and sauna a plus for weary bones. House is perfect for large groups that want to stay together and share the rental cost, but at the same time, there is never a feeling of too many people in one place because it is so expansive. We will continue to rent this home and I would recommend it for any large group."

  • Great location and great accommodations

"If you're looking for something in Northern Lower Michigan with easy access to everything that region has to offer without the hustle and bustle of some of the larger cities in the area, look no further. The Landings is a great property and this unit is outstanding. Plenty of space, nicely appointed, and great views of the lake. You're right on the water, walking distance to downtown Boyne City and all its charm, minutes away from trails, golf (summer), skiing (winter), shopping, and just about anything else you might want to do on your vacation. Not from Michigan? Come see what that Pure Michigan ad campaign is all about. Native Michigander? This is everything you love about our great state."
