  • Great secluded getaway!

"I spent four days at this chalet in the woods near Cross Village. It is a wonderful, tastefully decorated place with a complete kitchen. The weather was a bit cold and windy but I was very comfortable in the cabin. A soft easy chair made for a fine place to read, listen to music, and write in my journal. I had one Polish dinner at Legs Inn and enjoyed a couple of delicious pot pies from Good Hart General Store. One lovely, hilly hike on the North Country Trail in Wilderness State Park was a good way to enjoy the fall colors. But returning back to this special A-frame was always special. I hope to return for another visit. This would be a great escape for couples or a solo like me."

  • Perfect

"This is our second stay at Sommerset. This time we arranged our wedding to be in Cross Village because we love the area and the cottage so much. It is very clean, comfortable, quiet and even when it was cold out the scenery was beautiful. We will be back."

  • Beautiful, Secluded

"My husband and I stayed up here for a week with our close friends and had a blast! The cottage was beautiful and very clean on our arrival. A little out of the way, so we didn't have cell service (verizon or att), but the internet worked well enough to stream music on occasion. The September weather was perfect for sitting outside, watching the waves or kayaking during the day, and sitting around the fire at night. It really is a gorgeous view from the house, porch and beach. We loved the sunsets over the water, and were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights late one evening. The cottage was about a half hour or so away from river rafting, fishing charters, Mackinac Island, etc, but a pretty enough drive and worth feeling as if you're away from it all. We'd highly recommend staying at this property."

  • Excellent!

"Another fabulous stay. The house easily accommodates all our family and friends who join us over the 2 week stay. Very private and peaceful; well cared for and has all the amenities we need. The booking process is always professional and organized. Hope to be back next summer!!"
