"The cottage was perfect for our Michigan getaway. The patio area on top of the boat house was our favorite spot - perfect for breakfast coffee, dinners, sunsets and staring at peaceful Green Lake.
The kitchen was very well stocked - many excellent, quality items that made cooking easy.
We had several beautiful sunsets, each unique and dramatic. While we had earlier made plans to go to Traverse City, but opted instead for a trip to Frankfort which was good for a change of pace.
Thoroughly enjoyed using the pontoon boat. It really enhanced being at the lake that we could be on it, too.
Trying to plan when we can return to Green Lake, hopeful when Interlochen has concerts."

Lovely horse-boarding setting. Single cottage. Convenient driving to area sights.
"Owners Debbie and Jeff live on this large site, but do not hover. Very near Suttons Bay. If you enjoy the feeling of having your own reasonably-priced, get-away place, you'll love it here. Wish I could interact with the horses on site, but petting or feeding the horses is discouraged. Sleeping space for six, which includes the main bedroom and a loft. Cooking light meals OK; a larger fridge would be nice. Wrap-around front room couch should be more comfortable. Cable TV and Wi-Fi. Big parking lot, near the cottage. The entire location is beautifully landscaped, and includes a patio area with BBQ."

"Loved the crystal clear water and beautiful sunsets. Cottage is beautifully furnished and dishes, pans, etc. like new. No heat, so due to cold weather we used the cozy den with the fireplace every evening. Plenty of blankets for comfortable sleeping. Enjoyed our own kayak and motor boat to explore lake and its many islands. Also spent a rainy day in Traverse City."

"We stayed in the Red Quilt Cottage and had a wonderful week. The cottage is charming--and the perfect base from which to explore Charlevoix and the area. The owner and manager were pleasant and very nice to work with. It is an easy walk from the cottage to the Lake Michigan beach, the downtown area, and the amazing public library. We had 3 generations of family, and the cottage was perfect for us. It is well-appointed, well-decorated, and well-maintained, inside and out. We especially loved the outdoor sitting areas, and I returned home wishing I had a place for a porch swing! We look forward to staying at the Red Quilt Cottage on our next visit to Charlevoix."
