"This is our 3rd July in a row at the Guest Cottage and the 1st stay after the remodel. We have 5 to 6 teenagers (boys and girls) ranging from 15 to 22 and they all love it. With the clearness of the lake, the sand bottom, and seclusion of the cottage, it feels like a combo vacation - all the privacy of a mountain getaway combined with the fun in the sun of a beach stay. The dock is so relaxing, we get up early to go down and sit with our morning coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet. The setup of the dock and mooring buoys make it perfect for boats and jet skis. The lake is beautiful. Coming from Kentucky where most of the lakes are from flood control, the clearness of Walloon was stunning! The cottage is very comfortable. The kids like to gather in the basement to watch movies. The remodel enlarged the main bathroom, added kitchen counter space, and brightened all the rooms. The owners are fantastic and we actually had the opportunity to meet them in person this year! We all had a fabulous time sharing stories and watching the sunset. For folks who like to get out, there are three towns within 20 minutes - Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Boyne City. If you go make sure to check out Johan's for pasties! They even have one in Walloon Village. I highly recommend either house for a relaxing get away or a base for sightseeing or adventuring."

"Location isn't everything but it sure helps to be in an incredibly beautiful rehabbed Psych hospital condo with great restaurants and shops and great art covered basement walls. We had ready access to downtown Traverse City but could have just as easily spent much of time in our building. The owner was great and talked us into a smooth landing as "Siri" was a little confused. He even facilitated the return of two phone chargers we overlooked as we reluctantly left our beautiful accommodations. Would very happily recommend this place and this owner to anyone!"

"this cottage was in the perfect location for why we were in Elberta/Frankfort MI. It is minutes from Frankfort, and many other towns, attractions. The street was very quiet. It provided us with all we needed for our weekend. It is pet friendly with a fenced in area in the back with a small fire pit. If you want a place to call home base while you enjoy the adventures and wonders that MI has, this would work. It would be a little cramped for more than 6 adults. There is one full bed in one bed room, a set of bunk beds in the other, a futon and a couch in the living room and a roll away in the laundry room. It has a small table with 2 benches that will only seat 4-5 comfortably. I would recommend this cottage."

"We enjoyed our weekend at this adorable home. There was plenty of room for everyone and the beds were very comfortable. The space was open and cheerful . We were in town for a wedding but summer or winter there is so much to do in Boyne. We would definitely stay again."
