"Stayed here over the Harvest Stompede weekend... Property was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Great location on the lake, convenient for wine tasting in the peninsula or a short drive into Traverse City! Exceptional value compared to hotels in the area. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!"

"We had a great time and really enjoyed this rental. We saw ducks, woodpeckers, and even a river otter! Spent time just relaxing by the fire ring and cooking our own meals! Nice, clean and fairly well appointed. Bath soap in the bathrooms would have been nice. We assumed it would be there and could never remember to buy any. Also a hair dryer would have been nice. I would highly recommend staying here! The view is wonderful and the river running in front of the property is so soothing. I will bring friends here again!"

"This property had a spectacular view as well as many amenities. We made use of the kayaks they had and they supplied all linens as well as beach towels.
The add said it had stairs and it did. It became a little difficult for my husband after a few days, but we were warned. The add well represented the property.
The owner as well as the people taking care of his property were very helpful and courteous. There are lots of things to do in the area, but if the weather is good you may have a hard time leaving it. The home has a lovely deck that you can eat at and enjoy the view.
I had forgotten about all the rocks north of town, so not good swimming. I would definitely recommend it to a friend with a little older children."

"Our whole family (parents, 2 adult children, 1 teenager) spent a relaxing week in July at this terrific location on Lake Leelanau. The cottage had everything we were looking for -- great proximity to Traverse City, Leland, and local beaches/wineries, access to beautiful Lake Leelanau, and use of the pontoon boat included. We visited spots on Leelanau Peninsula, Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay comfortably, and could easily have spent another week.
We made extensive use of the pontoon boat which the owner makes available at no extra cost. Each of my three children enjoyed tow rides on the inner tube. We also fished, swam off the boat, and enjoyed exploring Lake Leelanau. It is possible to navigate through the narrows to North Lake Leelanau, and reach as far as Leland if you wish to sightsee. The savings over private rental in both cost and convenience is a big plus for this cottage.
The owner's residence is on the upper floor of this cottage, however she provided virtually complete privacy during our stay. We were able to knock and ask questions as needed, aside from this, we rarely saw the owner. We asked our adult children (nightowls) to keep the volume down after 10 PM, but they were able to move freely about in the wee hours with no issues. The owner's presence should not have much impact unless complete privacy is desired by the renter.
I would recommend this rental and we are very likely to be repeat renters ourselves!"
