"We rented here because we wanted to ski, but also enjoy Petoskey and Harbor Springs. This home was perfect for our family of 6. Everyone had their own space. The basement was great for our boys who played the wii after skiing Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. The adults enjoyed watching football upstairs and had plenty of room to relax. The small town of Harbor Springs has several coffee shops, bars, restaurants to enjoy as does Petoskey which is only 10 minutes away. We'd love to return in the Summer and enjoy the lake, bike trails and golf!"

"First let me say that Dean and Melissa made planning our rental a breeze. So organized and we knew just what to expect when we got there. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and it was lovely. Plenty of kitchen seating. Our family included three generations. The grandkids played in the water all day. It's sandy and they could jump off the raft and dock. We had fires every night, we put together puzzles when it rained and took bike rides into town. There are golf courses nearby and the little ones enjoyed fishing with Grandpa. The older kids took their jeep to a local off road track. Thanks Dean and Melissa, we had a great summer vacation!"

"My husband and I spent a blissful week at this wonderful cabin. I think the thing that surprised us the most was that although is is just minutes from shopping and restaurants, the location of the cabin itself feels very remote and peaceful. I prefer to be near shopping and restaurants, yet want to feel away from it all, this cabin delivers on both fronts. We kept saying to each other, "Can you believe this location?"
The cabin has the complete Up North feel. Our first morning there we woke to the sound of the loons welcoming us to the lake. I went into the kitchen to make coffee and was excited to find a Michigan State Spartans mug waiting for me. I had my coffee, and classic "pie for breakfast" on the deck while watching the baby geese peck along the shoreline in front of the cabin. It was heavenly. During the day we did all things Northern Michigan, and came back in the evening to build a nice fire and watch the sun set. It was our best vacation in years, and we highly recommend this classic Up North cabin and the peaceful experience it offers.
I must also mention the beds. I felt like Goldilocks, they were just right, and the bedding was super soft. We slept, as my husband says, like teenagers.
The owner of the cabin was extremely responsive to all of my questions and emails. Very easy to deal with and accommodating.
I also want to mention our favorite meal of the week. We went for the Sunday brunch at the Apache Trout Grill in Traverse. We're still talking about it, it was that good. Do not miss their prime rib or the sweet potato french toast. The cost was $19.95 for brunch, they definitely lost money on my visit....it was that good."
