  • Great house!

"The house is awesome! The house is big with lots of space to move around inside, well maintained, lots of beds, great for a family. The owners were very flexible working with us on dates. The house is up on a hill overlooking the lake, it gets great breezes (we stayed cool in 90 deg temps with no AC). Our only disapointment was the lake access - it has a great dock, but you have to go down a steep set of stairs, through a neighbors backyard, and across a mildly-busy road to access the dock. There is no beach area. Because of the location of the house, I would not recommend this to families with young children, but it is perfect for families with teens and water crafts. There is not much room for play outside of the house."

  • Great Place to Get Away from it all.

"The owners are extremely thoughtful in all they do to prepare their home for renters and to make your stay enjoyable. We have never rented a home or condo that was more clean and we have rented numerous places. They have everything you need to prepare meals, grill out, or just enjoy a glass of wine on their wonderful deck with lake views. I didn't have to worry about running to the store to buy the little things like paper towels, more toilet paper, dish detergent etc. We lead very hectic lives and it was so very nice to just relax and reconnect with our 10 and 13 year old as well as each other, not to mention nature! This vacation we didn't have to spend a lot of money on the usual tourist trap things, especially the things the kids see and we get pulled into like $10pp putt putt, go kart tracks that are ridiculously expensive, bungee jumps etc etc. We swam, played Frisbee, ball, climbed the sand dunes, explored barns, kayaked, fished and just enjoyed the scenery. This vacation wasn't rushed like when we are at Disney but was relaxed and we had time to talk, laugh and play! Very nice. Thanks Chris and Annabelle for sharing your retreat."

  • Excellent Vacation Rental!

"We loved our vacation in this lake rental home! It was the perfect size for our family (2 grandparents, 4 adults, 3 children and our dog) and we loved that the water toys (pontoon boat and kayaks) were all included. The place was very clean on our arrival and the home is well appointed and decorated (the pictures are quite accurate) and we experienced no issues during our stay. The woodsy setting is gorgeous (with nightly visits by deer in the yard during our week there) and we all loved the pleasant walk down to the firepit and dock area (it was just far enough away that we didn't have to worry about the kids getting into the lake by themselves). The kids enjoyed the swing set and sandbox as well. We had a ton of fun exploring the nearby beaches, lighthouses, and Sleeping Bear Dunes. I would not hesitate to rent this property again!"

  • A great place for a family vacation.

"Our family has vacationed at the Condo on the Bay for four years, It is clean, roomy, comfortable, fully equipped and offers a great view of the harbor. Amidst all of the great shops and restaurants in downtown Frankfort. And only a three block walk away from one of the best beaches on the Lake Michigan shoreline. If you are a fisherman, charter boat operations surround the harbor. And if you bring your own boat, the public launch (which has overnight parking) and fish cleaning station is a very short walk away."
