  • Excellent week in Glen Arbor, MI

"This was a wonderful week for me and my family. The accommodations were excellent. We enjoyed the million dollar view with the gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed the nice beach walks into the town of Glen Arbor to shop and have lunch. The new bike trail was awesome, we road to the sand dunes. We also enjoyed golfing at the Homestead and the Dunes golf courses. The beds and furnishings were so comfortable. My husband and sons really enjoyed watching the baseball games on the large flat sceen TV. We had an excellent time in Glen Arbor and really enjoyed the wonderful accomodations. Hope to be back in the future."

  • A Perfect family get away

"Surf Song was the perfect place for our recent family vacation in Glen Arbor. The home is located on a small, quiet private road on a beautiful lot with many mature trees and a beautiful trailing slope down to the most beautiful beachfront you could possibly ask for. The sunsets were amazing and you could view them from the deck, the comfy chairs at the fire pit or from your own lounge chair right on the beach. It is also only a short drive from town and also very close to all the outdoor activities Glen Arbor has to offer. Kim, the owner, was always available to answer any questions and was very helpful in offering suggestions to investigate and enjoy what this beautiful area has to offer. It is obvious this home has been well loved and cared for, and it is extremely well appointed with anything and everything you might need. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a true up north experience."

  • Really nice family compound

"My whole extended family went up to Michigan earlier this summer for the first family trip in years. This was a very big deal. There are some members of the family with very "specific" demands and needs (read;high maintenance). As the leader of this fine group, I was tasked with finding accommodations that would be suitable for all of us. Our group included 2 families with kids ages 5-13, 2 grandparents, another young family with a 3 month old and a hipster bachelor! No easy task! However, this property fit the bill perfectly. Thomas and Pat were super easy to work with, answering all of my ridiculous questions. They were just finishing the opening of the property when we got there, so we ended up with a super tour. The original older house was perfect for the grands and the younger family. The kitchen was very nicely outfitted with everything we needed. One of my biggest pet peeves when renting is never having enough serving bowls.....this place had more than enough! The main bedroom/bathroom was swanky enough for those who like swanky. We ended up eating breakfast and dinner in that house every day. The other house is more of a typical rental-type house; open kitchen that is not quite as nice as the other, but certainly sufficient, 2 bedrooms on the smaller side but with excellent bedding and pillows, and a loft full of beds for the kids to sort out. The rec room provided a nice respite for anyone who may not want be in the thick of it with several bed options, as well. The location was also terrific. It is very close to town, nice bike ride or pretty determined walk (we drove, but it took about 5 minutes). The beach is fabulous, no algae or water plants at all, no rocks, nice and shallow for plenty of kid fun! We used the kayaks a lot, rented several SUP's, of course had a boat and tube, used the fire pit, etc. There are also beautiful planters that are self watering all around the houses and decking, a very nice touch that puts this place a notch above the rest. As an added bonus, the owners even leave directions out of the area-which saved us from massive confusion trying to reverse our inbound directions. My only complaint was the mosquitos and the temperature being a bit bracing. Bring your parkas and bug spray and stay here."

"The Owners of this house are more then generous. This Beach House is completely outfitted with everything a family needs from kitchen to play. Gorgeous location in the Sleeping Bear State Park. Dirt road access to small community of private beach homes located just north of the Homestead resort. Stunning sunsets and quiet beach atmosphere. You will love it!!!!"
