"My extended family, a total of 9, fit here comfortably. The description is very accurate and the house is clean and well-maintained. Would recommend this property to others. The only issue we faced was that the weather was very humid while we were there and without any AC, the house felt a little damp."Guest: Elizabeth Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 23, 2014View listing
"We had an awesome time and Sandy (owner/manager) made us feel so very welcome and took care of all our questions and helped meet our requests and needs. We loved the access to Crystal River right outside our patio door and the quick easy walk over the dunes to Lake Michigan. The condo was small but perfect for just the two of us--it had all we needed and more. The decor' was so cute and fit the lake location. Most importantly the condo was super clean! The location was awesome for taking in the area sights (Glen Arbor, Leland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, great restaurants, shopping, wineries, simply beautiful views) and just enjoying the Homestead grounds. We even took a ski lift ride to enjoy Music on the Mountain in the Homestead Resort. We simply loved the whole experience and heartily recommend this condo for a single person or couple."Guest: Kathy Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 11, 2014View listing
"My whole extended family went up to Michigan earlier this summer for the first family trip in years. This was a very big deal. There are some members of the family with very "specific" demands and needs (read;high maintenance). As the leader of this fine group, I was tasked with finding accommodations that would be suitable for all of us. Our group included 2 families with kids ages 5-13, 2 grandparents, another young family with a 3 month old and a hipster bachelor! No easy task! However, this property fit the bill perfectly. Thomas and Pat were super easy to work with, answering all of my ridiculous questions. They were just finishing the opening of the property when we got there, so we ended up with a super tour. The original older house was perfect for the grands and the younger family. The kitchen was very nicely outfitted with everything we needed. One of my biggest pet peeves when renting is never having enough serving bowls.....this place had more than enough! The main bedroom/bathroom was swanky enough for those who like swanky. We ended up eating breakfast and dinner in that house every day. The other house is more of a typical rental-type house; open kitchen that is not quite as nice as the other, but certainly sufficient, 2 bedrooms on the smaller side but with excellent bedding and pillows, and a loft full of beds for the kids to sort out. The rec room provided a nice respite for anyone who may not want be in the thick of it with several bed options, as well. The location was also terrific. It is very close to town, nice bike ride or pretty determined walk (we drove, but it took about 5 minutes). The beach is fabulous, no algae or water plants at all, no rocks, nice and shallow for plenty of kid fun! We used the kayaks a lot, rented several SUP's, of course had a boat and tube, used the fire pit, etc. There are also beautiful planters that are self watering all around the houses and decking, a very nice touch that puts this place a notch above the rest. As an added bonus, the owners even leave directions out of the area-which saved us from massive confusion trying to reverse our inbound directions. My only complaint was the mosquitos and the temperature being a bit bracing. Bring your parkas and bug spray and stay here."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: August 9, 2014View listing
"Just returned from a three night stay at this condo. We found the condo to be clean and comfortable with awesome views of Lake Michigan and a short walk to the beach. We saw two gorgeous sunsets from the deck. This is a great place to stay while exploring the Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore and the surrounding areas. It would be a place we would love to return too if we are in the area."Guest: Windmill56 Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 7, 2014View listing
