  • Lovely Home

"We relaxed and enjoyed this lovely home on Duck Lake. The owner was attentive and quick to respond with answers. We loved the home design and all the details incorporated in build. The week was fun as we explored the lake, Traverse City, Leland, Suttons Bay, etc. We always looked forward to returning to the cabin and enjoying all the bird sightings, quietness, coziness, and home-cooked meals. Thank you."

  • Great Winter Getaway

"Awesome cottage/cabin...lots of room to spread out for my family ice fishing trip. The 2 bedrooms are much larger than we expected and the rest of the home suited are needs perfectly. We hope to be back next March! Thanks again."

  • Interlochen Flute Choir Attendees

"My friends and I attended the Flute Choir week at Interlochen and stayed at the Ranch again this year. We are always made to feel welcome. There were some problems that popped up that were unavoidable. They were taken care of immediately and no incovenience to us. Thanks Linda for another enjoyable stay! The house is a very enjoyable bike ride to Interlochen, and everything was supplied for us."

  • Perfect location for 3-generation getaway

"This was just right for our Labor Day family getaway "Up North" with six adults and two children ages 3 and 4. The house was spacious enough that we never felt like we were on top of each other, and I think that has a lot to do with the remodeling that the owner must have recently done -- I loved the separate dining space off the entrance, and the upper level is just stunning. There was a desk for those who needed to get some work done (unfortunately!). Our little ones loved the small bedroom off the upstairs, and the adjacent den was a great spot for them to watch movies and play yet still be close enough that the adults could hear all was well. The lake is "across the street," but we're talking about 15 steps and you're there. The kitchen is VERY well-equipped -- plenty of dishes and glasses for everyone without having to run the dishwasher constantly. The old stove worked SO great! One burner seemed a little less hot but hey, that's part of the charm. Everything was in working order, and the house is even nicer than the photos make it seem. The porch swing, or "swing chair" as my 3 year old called it, was a HUGE hit with the kids and adults. And the small fire pit/ring in the front yard was JUST perfect for s'mores after dinner. Like others have said in reviews, the location is grand as well -- away from the high prices of Traverse City but close enough that you can go to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsulas, etc., and not feel like you've been in the car the whole trip. There are two large, well-stocked grocery stores only a couple miles away, which made making meals at home convenient and easy. The only *slight* negative was the size of the bedrooms on the lower level, especially the one that uses the bathroom in the hallway, but after one night, we felt like it was just part of the cozy charm. We would stay again in a heartbeat."

Interlochen Travel Tips

A Music-Lover's Dream Getaway Awaits at Interlochen Vacation Rentals

A secluded, world-class arts camp is the huge draw at Northwest Michigan's Interlochen, a woodsy town filled with state parks, quaint shopping, and beaches galore. If you're looking for great deals on Interlochen lodging, you've come to the right place. Take a look around, and you could soon be spending your next vacation in one Interlochen's beautiful Northwest Michigan lake houses.

Rock Beats Scissors, Scissors Beat Paper, Homes Beat Hotels

Have you been confining yourself to hotels on your vacations? If so, you have no idea what you're missing out on. Hotels are cramped, impersonal, and uncomfortable. Instead of stuffing your entire group into a hotel for a few days, why don't you give yourself some room to spread out in a vacation home? You'll have multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and a full kitchen to call your own, so you can make your own meals instead of depending on room service and continental breakfasts. You'll also have tons of privacy, so you don't have to be kept up by noisy neighbors on the other side of the thin walls like you would at a hotel.

Arts Camp for the Kids, Fun for the Whole Family

Ask anyone in Michigan about Interlochen, and they'll instantly tell you about the Interlochen Center for the Arts. The school started as a summer camp for gifted musicians in the 1920s, but now plays host to talented artists from around the world as a year-round school. Stop by in the summer for some fantastic programming. If you're just visiting, stop by one of the many parks or beaches. Kids love Fun Country Amusement Park, a water park with pools, slides, and go-karts.
