"Our family of 6 stayed a few days at this perfect chateau. Even though the weather did not cooperate with us we enjoyed every minute of our stay! We did not get to enjoy the many decks however the fireplace was a wonderful, warm trade off - with an over abundance of wood.
All rooms were exactly as pictured. Spotlessly clean and fresh. There were more than enough towels and linens. Wonderfully comfortable beds.
The modern kitchen was a real treat.....better than home! All appliances were beautiful and additional small appliances came in very handy.
The Soedings were very enjoyable hosts to work with. A very sweet couple.
Oh and the view....what can I say??!! The view! Exactly what we were looking for!
We also ventured out on a couple road trips in the area. Beautiful. Hit the fall colors about perfect timing.

"Spent a week in August 2015 with family (3 teens). What a great place. Exactly what I love. Isolated, super quiet (kind of place so peaceful that when a car drives by it's exciting....). Steps from a small sandy beach with cristal clear, shallow water, small dunes and an infinite horizon. House is well maintained, 3 great rooms, 2 nice bathrooms, huge deck. We spent the week in the sun, swimming, BBQ and reading. Great place with small kids & teens who like to read. Came home 100% relaxed & recovered
But alert: far for groceries, entertainment, so not recommended if you like dinning out, mini-golf, shopping, museums etc."

"I certainly enjoyed my stay at your apartment in Leland. The 1906 house is up to date but full of vintage details and furniture. I especially appreciated the framed information in each room. I always know what I expect in lodging but, especially in a private home, I like to know what is expected of me. Every question I might have had was answered before I could ask.
The location is perfect if you enjoy exploring the town and walking to the beaches to search for Petoskey Stones and Leland Blues. And, of course, it's close to the Bluebird, my most favorite restaurant, where Bob, Cory, Forest & Zack make me feel like a local.
My only hope is that a 5 star review doesn't attract so many other potential renters that I will have trouble booking a stay next year.
Thank you Carolyn for all of your help. You've been a pleasure to work with."

"This home was perfect for our family vacation. 6 adults and two small children. We were impressed with the cleanliness and excellent condition of the property. The kitchen has a like new very large refrigerator, excellent oven/stove and large microwave. We prepared almost all meals here and were amazed at how well stocked the kitchen was. No dishwasher, but large double-sided deep sinks! Wonderful large dining table with long benches for eating and excellent group board games...also furnished! Very nice gas grill available as well. Comfortable beds for all. We brought our own pillows as usual and slept great! Good water pressure for showers. Very new, nice updated washer and dryer downstairs too! Available were all kinds of supplies..scissors, tape, writing utensiles, tin foil, saran wrap...anything you might find in your own home. If we used anything up, we simply replaced it courtesy for the next vacationers! Quiet, private location. (except rooster down the road in morning! :) The only thing this place was missing in our opinion was a seating area in the yard like a picnic table or chairs. Oh yes, and they even had nice town bikes available for our use! The price was very reasonable and two minutes ride into cute well maintained clean town. Would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect rental property in this area. We enjoyed paddleboarding, bike riding, wine tasting, sight-seeing, tunnel of trees, jet skiing, walking down to marina, excellent restaurants and very nice small beach with clear water and smooth sandy beach right in town. They had a huge floating raft for the older ones to swim to from the shore."
