"My brothers and I traveled up to this cabin on Wednesday - July 8, 2015 and departed on Sunday - July 12, 2015.
Once again we had an absolute blast at the cabin. This year was the year of exploration for us! There is a road just in front of the cabin (N. Johnson Rd.) and if you travel up the dirt road for about a mile or so it makes a great walk/run to enjoy nature and soak in the quiet. The road will come to an end but continues to your right or left as far as the eye can see. If you have a dirt bike or an ATV it would be an awesome ride.
We went tubing from the deck below several times and traveled up the river for a few miles. Very exciting and relaxing tubing ride but can be a bit tiring walking back through the river up stream (just an FYI).
There is a great grocery store about 5 miles from the cabin called Dublin General Store. If jerky is your thing then I highly recommend this place - you wont be disappointed! They carry over 65 flavors with various meat types and its the best jerky we've ever had!
We would like to personally thank the owners once again for a smooth and pleasant transaction.
Once again a perfect 10 out of 10!
We will be booking this perfect cabin in the woods for part 4 next year!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our September getaway to White Pines Cottage! The Owners provided everything needed in this comfortable cottage (bring own linens), the setting is quiet, private, very relaxing. Morning coffee and evening wine on the deck overlooking Harper Lake, a hint of fall in the leaves, campfires at the shore...just the ticket for calming the soul! Many nice amenities: paddle boat, gas grill, comfortable beds, canoe, well stocked kitchen. A return trip is in the future! Thank you Kathy for quick responses to emails too, your sincere dedication to the comforts of your guests is appreciated"

"Nick and Linda's cabin was perfect for our family getaway! We spent a week with our girls, 3 and 5. The lake was a constant source of fun - they provide paddle boats and a row boat as well as life preservers. We paddled out to the island one day for a big adventure. Short drive to Lake Michigan, many orchards, lots of good fishing in the local rivers. Very quiet in the fall, it was a great place to relax. Cabin had everything we needed, even air conditioning! There is plenty of room inside for poor weather, and lots of room to spread out outside. Enjoyed a few fires and roasted marshmallows, napped in the hammock, ate dinner at the picnic table every night and enjoyed coffee on the deck. We'll be back! Thanks for a great stay!!!"

"Sauble Point Farmhouse is a very nice and large vacation home that we felt gave us plenty of room for the 6-8 of us (plus our dog). It has not only lots or room inside but outside as well. The property's seclusion was an added bonus, especially with our energetic dog! We did experience a few minor issues with the house but Rose was right on top of making sure things were taken care of, either by herself or the handyman. Made a couple trips to Dublin Market (awesome store!) and to Manistee area to swim in Lake Michigan (only 1/2 hour away-note: dog-friendly beach out by Manistee water tower; take Washington St.), plus a stop at the farm market on the corner of 31 and 8 Mile/Freesoil Road for produce, baked goods and fudge! We called for firewood and it was delivered promptly by a very nice man, and week's worth (maybe more) of firewood was $30. Unfortunately we were not able to launch our 16 ft. boat into the lake since the private boat launch is pretty rustic. However, Bass Lake (about a mile away) has a updated boat launch so my husband didn't have to go far to go fishing. The rowboat had a slight leak but he did take it out a couple times to fish on Sauble Lake and the kids used the paddle boat. Navigating the hill to the lake was a little challenging to our twins who have a slight disability but the swimming was worth the climb. Water shoes came in handy since the bottom is somewhat mucky. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it to others."
