"A total of six of us rented this house for our annual fishing trip. Very secluded, which we like so we don't disturb the neighbors with out noisy fireside revelry. The lake itself was VERY quiet. We saw a few people on it the whole four days. It was fun paddling around in the rowboat looking for turtles and fishing. This lake has steep drops around much of the shoreline leading to good fishing spots.
Lots of panfish right off the dock. You can catch as many as you want, though they're small.
Five beds plus a fold out couch...not bad at all. They have some sweet elk heads n the walls and a bear in the basement. If dead animals freak you out, don't go here.
Gas stove, which we liked for frying up the fish we caught over on Big Bass lake. There is a good bait shop run by a nice Amish fellow near Big Bass lake that has many types of minnows. The property manager of this place also rented us a pontoon boat on big bass lake."

Ski weekend (Downhill and Cross Country at Caberfae
"Our group of nine (4 adults/ 5 kids) were comfortable in the basecamp. Plenty of room and beds for all. The property is next to Manistee National Forest and is in a beautiful forested setting. It was ~20 miles from Caberfae via any easy drive for great skiing."

"My brothers and I traveled up to this cabin on July 16, 2014 and departed on July 20, 2014. This year we added an additional day to our stay and it was well worth it.
The cabin has just about everything you need from dishes, kitchen utensils, bathroom supplies, cleaning supplies, coffee supplies, tape, glue, fans, tools, cards, board games, lighter fluid, charcoal and more.
As before the interior of the cabin was very clean and welcoming. The nights were perfect for star watching and relaxing by the fire. I highly recommend walking down by the Johnson Bridge and exploring the river on the left side of the bride. The water is only knee deep for a ways down the river. If you’re feeling adventurous walk through the tunnels under the bridge and that will lead you back to the cabin.
Once again a perfect 10 out of 10!
We would like to personally thank the owners for their cooperation and communication with us before our stay once again.
We will be booking this perfect cabin in the woods for part 3 next year!"
