  • Roembke Family Vacation

"My family of 8 with 6 adult children stayed in this cute, cozy cottage for a week. All the essentials were included except towels and a washer/dryer but who wants to do laundry while on vacation. Beds and bedding were all comfortable. Stocked with games, videos, and fans. I can see why the lake was called Manistee. The area was quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed beautiful fireworks on the lake. Took the rowboat out. Enjoyed eating outside, using the gas grill, and coffee in the morning on the porch. Only about an hour drive to Traverse City and to some wine tasting venues on the peninsula and experienced the National Cherry Festival. Traveled to Sandy Bear Dunes for a great outdoor venture with the family. I highly recommend the cottage. Great place to make good memories. The living room and kitchen is a little cozy for 8 adults. ."

  • Nice getaway

"The lake is beautiful and clear. The cottage is clean and well kept. Nice for a quiet relaxing vacation. Traverse City is an easy day trip. There a lot of outdoor things to do in the area like kayaking, hiking and fishing. The lake was great for swimming and fishing. The only bad thing is the steps to the lake are pretty steep and there is no beach. We had a good time and did some day trips when the weather bad."

  • Peaceful and Quiet

"My husband and I were looking for a quiet peaceful place to relax and enjoy a little one-on-one time away from the crazy busy city life with three kids! We completely found that here at Summer Sky's Cottage! We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, sitting out on the dock watching the sunset, roasting hotdogs over the bonfire, and observing the bald eagle and her baby! The cottage had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. When we wanted a taste of the city life, we headed west to Traverse City, Sutton's Bay and the surrounding cities for wine tasting, shopping and sightseeing. Rick and Teresa couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating and we wish we could've stayed a little longer! We hope to make it back again someday soon!"

  • Clean & Cozy!

"We had a great week on the lake. The cottage was very clean and quaint. There was everything in the cottage we needed. We will definity come back. The beds were very comfortable and the lake was very quiet and peaceful. The cottage is not far from Traverse City, so there was many things to do. Thanks, Gwen & Chris Pinckney, MI"
