  • Clean, Quiet & Comfortable

"My husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandson and I recently spent a delightful week at Burns Street Cottage. The cottage is just as it appears in the pictures-spacious and clean. The backyard is very pretty with perennials, a picnic table, and a nice fire pit. The owner was prompt in answering our queries, available if needed, and also prompt in returning our damage deposit. The cottage is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood within walking distance of both downtown and Depot Beach on Lake Charlevoix. We also drove about 2 miles to the McSauba recreation area where there are nature trails, dunes and a beach on Lake Michigan (no lifeguard, lightly populated). It’s also easy to bicycle to the Little Traverse Wheelway trail which runs between Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. My husband and I biked to and from Petoskey one day – 36 miles in all on an awesome trail. Among its offerings, we enjoyed Charlevoix’s wonderful library, interesting “mushroom houses”, good restaurants, and friendly people. We can definitely recommend both visiting the town and staying at this cottage."

  • Great place to stay in Charlevoix

"This was our first time in Charelvoix, and we really enjoyed this rental home. It's location was great: easy walk to restaurants, shops, and the beach. The pluses: the bathrooms had been recently updated and were in great condition, and the two larger bedrooms were nicely appointed. Our only regret was that there were not more window coverings on the bedroom windows - it was hard to sleep in with the early summer sunrise. The property was clean and well maintained, and the owners were very helpful answering all of our questions prior to arrival. We happened to be there the weekend the nearby library was having a book fair, and we loved getting a chance to see the space. Easy trip to Petoskey or Mackinac Island for sight-seeing."

  • What a Great Place!

"Beautiful view, and a darling guest cottage. This place looks small on the pictures, but it is like staying in an oversized hotel suite. With the separate bedroom, and a pleasant sized living area, it is a great place. Spotlessly clean, and a great view. What more could you want??"

  • Room for all

"This property was large enough to house all 10 of our family comfortably. The water inlet is right outside the back door with a personal beach, large deck, firepit and great fishing. We loved its close proximity to downtown Traverse City and all it has to offer. The kayaks and paddle boat kept our older kids busy. The owners were extremely accommodating. Thanks to Lois and Don for a relaxing week."
