"An amazing time was had by all at Shangri La. We had 16 people and had plenty of space inside and out. We had a great time at the lake and spent a lot of time at the beach. Love the screened in porch. It is a very spacious gathering place and a great way to get fresh air without bugs. The history of the area is awesome. Just a short walk to the original general store and a book store that use to be a restaurant. The locals are very knowledgeable and eager to talk about Hemingway if that interests you. A great place to feel like you are part of a great history and like you have stepped back in time. The owner was awesome. We came into a pan of brownies as a welcome. Sue came and checked on us shortly after arrival and even though they are right next door, it's like they aren't there at all. If you need anything at all, she is there to help. The house is a short drive to Boyne City and close to Charlevoix and Petoskey. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope that someday we can return."

"This property looked like a good fit for my group to enjoy a weekend of cycling in northern Michigan. I appreciate that it was exactly as advertised - what you see online is what you get. Convenient location just outside of town, nice view of the lake, kitchen outfitted with all the necessities. Despite ideal mosquito weather, that claim turned out to be true, too - not a mosquito in sight!"

"We had a wonderful time at the house. Its very spacious especially the upstairs living space (if you are a single family staying there consider making the upstairs kitchen your main kitchen as the living space is bright and spacious and the decks both front and back are wonderful). Otherwise a great place for two families to share together. Location was walking distance to everything including the grocery store. One consideration, there are two circular staircase which may be awkward for elderly residents (although the first floor is very accesible). Also the barbeque was great on the back porch with seating for six. We played a mini game of wiffle ball in the backyard but then expanded our game into the two two wonderful little baseball fields out back. Garage was good for storing bikes and golf clubs. Check out the 'ye nine old holes' golf course up the road for a cheap and fun game."

"My husband and I enjoyed the condo very much, especially the hot tub after skiing! The beds were very comfortable and the baths well appointed. The management was very friendly, they even made sure the walks were shoveled and salted everyday. I would defiantly recommend to someone. The only negative was the dishware and old pans, very hard water left a film on them. We spent a lot of time at Piersons, good food and drink, try the "Awesome Coffee"!!"
