  • Very Satisfied Customer

"Our whole family (parents, 2 adult children, 1 teenager) spent a relaxing week in July at this terrific location on Lake Leelanau. The cottage had everything we were looking for -- great proximity to Traverse City, Leland, and local beaches/wineries, access to beautiful Lake Leelanau, and use of the pontoon boat included. We visited spots on Leelanau Peninsula, Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay comfortably, and could easily have spent another week. We made extensive use of the pontoon boat which the owner makes available at no extra cost. Each of my three children enjoyed tow rides on the inner tube. We also fished, swam off the boat, and enjoyed exploring Lake Leelanau. It is possible to navigate through the narrows to North Lake Leelanau, and reach as far as Leland if you wish to sightsee. The savings over private rental in both cost and convenience is a big plus for this cottage. The owner's residence is on the upper floor of this cottage, however she provided virtually complete privacy during our stay. We were able to knock and ask questions as needed, aside from this, we rarely saw the owner. We asked our adult children (nightowls) to keep the volume down after 10 PM, but they were able to move freely about in the wee hours with no issues. The owner's presence should not have much impact unless complete privacy is desired by the renter. I would recommend this rental and we are very likely to be repeat renters ourselves!"

  • Piece of heaven

"We have rented this cottage for the past 4 years & have loved staying there each time. There is lots to do in the area & alot of boating/water fun right out the back door. Fishtown is a couple miles away and also plenty of wineries if that is your interest.Other nearby towns are Suttons Bay, with shopping & a movie theater. Glen Arbor is a short drive & also has lots to offer."

  • Peaceful Hill Top Haven

"We called this lovely dwelling "home" for a relaxing week and it really felt like staying in a home as opposed to a rental unit. The kitchen is nicely appointed and has everything for making family meals. The living area is spacious and comfortable, perfect for hanging out and watching movies on the large flat screen TV. The master suite has a king bed the is very comfortable with its plush bedding and view of the lake. The master bath and dressing area are also nicely appointed. Our two teens were happy and comfortable inhabiting the lower level which contained two bedrooms both of which opened up to the patio and a view of Lake Michigan. A full bath, and laundry room are also on the lower level. Views from the upper deck are beautiful, and sitting out there soaking in the sites of Lake Michigan was a welcomed beginning and ending to our fun-filled days. Activities like bike riding, shopping, and beach walking are an easy drive from the house. Michel is very attentive and available for questions. I would highly recommend vacationing at this lovely home."

  • Great Time Once Again In Leland

"My family and I have been coming to the peninsula for 32 years. We normally stayed at the same spot until a few years ago when we started trying homes through VRBO. We enjoy this experience very much. This house served 5 adults and 3 children well. We loved eating outdoors at their picnic table and the grandkids enjoyed the outdoor shower after bathing in Lake Michigan. We are the type of traveler who enjoys breakfast at home, lunch and hot spots during the day and cooking at home and eating outside each evening. We would return to this setting again. Walking distance to town, and the beaches and a nice quiet neighborhood setting."
