  • Lovely Home

"What a lovely home! The house itself is great - even better than the pictures. It's decorated beautifully, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The little beach areas were perfect for our granddaughter, and the deck was wonderful. Such a lovely, quiet spot - can't wait to come back!"

  • Perfect location, beautiful house

"What a great stay! The location, right on Lake Michigan and less than 10 minutes out of Leland, is convenient and the setting is beautiful. The house is well furnished - you can tell that there has been some love invested. The layout is outstanding for entertaining, too. Loved watching the sunsets, and walking on the beach. And visiting all the nearby wineries - they are all fun but Chateau Fontaine is a favorite. Whether it's the comfortable beds or the clean northern air, we slept very soundly every night and woke up more refreshed every day. I am recommending this property to my friends, and look forward to a return visit!"

  • Great Vacation Home

"This place was wonderful. The setting on Lake Leelanau is beautiful. Even with the wooded lake setting, it was roomy and light and airy. I do not think the photos do it justice. We especially liked the two large decks. When it was hot we were down on the deck sitting right on the lake with its cool breezes. When it was cooler or windy, the deck up near the house was perfect. On a rainy day, the room with the pool table came in handy. The sunsets over the lake with friends and a glass of Leelanau wine was heaven."

  • Perfect vacation!

"This was the perfect place for a great family vacation! We had two adults and four college aged children/guests. The home is more inviting and stunning than even the listed pictures which is truly saying something! The lake frontage is beyond breathtaking whether it was morning coffee on the deck off the master bedroom, or wine on the dock for sunsets, or late nights by the fire pit as you are never too old for roasted marshmallows. The home is fully stocked and equipped for all your needs whether it is indoor cooking, outdoor grilling, wifi or simply sharing a late night movie. The home is in a great location, plenty of privacy yet just 10 minute drive from both Suttons Bay and downtown Leland for dinner or shopping options. A little further but still easy trips were 30 minutes to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. All of which are great options to take advantage of should you have gotten a little too much sun or as a rainy day option. The water frontage was very sandy all around the dock area. If you were entering the water directly from the yard it is a little rocky and some may prefer water shoes. This was our first experience with VRBO and I have to say we hit the jackpot! The owners were very welcoming, informative, and professional to deal with and the property was everything we had hoped for and more. It was a fabulous week for our family and we would definitely return! Thanks so much for sharing your home."
