  • Absolutely charming! Such a relaxing vacation :)

"My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights for a little getaway. It was absolutely charming! The guest house was just the perfect size for the two of us.The location is perfect-- it's about 25 minutes away from Traverse City and about 10 minutes away from Sutton's Bay (which is wonderful!). The Sleeping Bear Dunes (which I would also highly recommend seeing) are only 25 minutes away as well. It's close enough to many attractions and restaurants, but far enough away to be extremely quiet and relaxing. The pool and outdoor area here is perfect to relax by and enjoy a glass of wine (which Vince and Kristy provided upon arrival :)). Vince and Kristy are extremely friendly and generous hosts! And we loved having Rufus around since our pups were back home. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a relaxing getaway and enjoy the beautiful up north. We will most definitely be returning :)"

  • Our FAVORITE part of summer!

"We just booked for this coming summer! We have gone to this home for several years and it is something we look forward to ALL year! The owners have an eye for detail, comfort and hospitality. The photos give you an idea, but don't do it true justice! The home is well-maintained, spacious yet cozy, tastefully decorated and ready to welcome you for a memorable visit! It is a BEAUTIFUL lake front property! There is a lovely little sand area for sunbathing, hammock for relaxing, large deck with grill, pier to lazily anchor a raft (we usually bring a kayak and tie that up there as well!), swing set for the kids, chair swing to enjoy sunsets, fire ring for evening roasts and so much more!!! We find new areas and restaurants to explore each time we go. The owners have left plenty of information about the area to assist you with your visit! I can't say enough positive things about this property! You won't be disappointed...book now!"

  • Perfect location and accommodations!

"We were attending a wedding at Crooked Creek Ranch on Lake Leelanau during Labor Day weekend and decided to expand our trip into a week-long vacation. The Peek-a-Boo is centrally located on the Leelanau Peninsula so it was easy to travel to Northport, Glen Arbor, Suttons Bay, Leland, Traverse City, and everywhere in between. The cottage is tastefully appointed and the owners are so gracious--they really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Beautiful rental--I highly recommend it!"

  • Lakeside retreat

"My wife and I and our two dogs have stayed here twice. Labor Day week 2013 and Memorial Day week this year (2014). We have been coming to the Sleeping Bear / Leelanau area for vacations and long weekends for over 15 years and I think this is our favorite property rental in the area. Its location on the water, the availability of the boat, and its closeness to Traverse City and surrounding Leelanau county are great. It is very private- the grounds are mostly well blocked to its neighbors by trees and the owner is very discreet (when she is around) to keep the grounds private to the tenants. I think the negative comments regarding an upstairs occupant (while correct) are a bit overstated. We'll be back soon I'm sure."
