  • We LOVE staying here!

"This will be our third year staying at this rental and it feels like its our home. It's a great place for families, especially with young kids. The water is very shallow and clear for quite a distance from the shore. The house is neat and well kept, but rustic. Wooded on all sides it provides the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of normal life, but access to all that M-22 has to offer. Been coming to Leland for 43 years and we love staying here...."

  • Pam and Gary

"We enjoyed our second stay at this property. The photos and description do a great job of presenting the property. We especially enjoyed the large yard, the swimming area, the use of the dock and float to tie up our boat, and the fire pit area. All items were readily available for our use - linens, firewood, dishes, etc. Also the laundry facility was very helpful. It's closeness to the village of Leland and the Lake Michigan beaches is also a real plus. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions."

  • Perfect Vacation

"This was a perfect family vacation totaling 6 adults and 3 young ones (2-4yo). The listed pictures represent the house well, showing it's spaciousness and open floor plan. However, the beauty of the N. Lake Leelanau view could not be captured. Simply stunning! The owner was very warm and accommodating in all of our dealings, making for easy preparation and providing support throughout our stay. My family has been regularly visiting the Traverse City area for more than 30yrs, usually staying close to downtown. While I cherish those memories, I am now finding it much more enjoyable to stay in the Leelanau peninsula. This house is located within 10-15min from quaint downtowns of Sutton's Bay and Leland, as well as being located in the heart of the wineries, and still close enough to visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Key points of house: - sufficient bedroom space to accommodate up to 10 people easily. - open floor plan with large windows showcasing beautiful views of the lake from almost every room - while there are neighbors situated close on either side, there is still sufficient privacy - backyard is spacious with well-kept grass for kids to play, leading right up to the water - lake water and lake floor are very clean, although I would recommend to bring scuba shoes to wear when swimming as there are areas where rocks can do damage to your feet. - house is sufficiently stocked for conveniency (dish ware, grill, wireless internet, fire pit, etc...) - UNBELIEVABLE VIEW We would definitely stay again. Thanks"

"We had a great time here! The cottage was well stocked, clean and beautiful, especially the lawn and garden. We loved being on the river---we sat on the dock, kayaked, played bocce on the lawn. Biking or walking into town was easy. We hope to stay here again! Thanks for everything!"
