"We just booked for this coming summer! We have gone to this home for several years and it is something we look forward to ALL year! The owners have an eye for detail, comfort and hospitality. The photos give you an idea, but don't do it true justice! The home is well-maintained, spacious yet cozy, tastefully decorated and ready to welcome you for a memorable visit! It is a BEAUTIFUL lake front property! There is a lovely little sand area for sunbathing, hammock for relaxing, large deck with grill, pier to lazily anchor a raft (we usually bring a kayak and tie that up there as well!), swing set for the kids, chair swing to enjoy sunsets, fire ring for evening roasts and so much more!!! We find new areas and restaurants to explore each time we go. The owners have left plenty of information about the area to assist you with your visit! I can't say enough positive things about this property! You won't be disappointed...book now!"Guest: Busyalways Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: January 7, 2014View listing
"Stayed at the Wheeler cottage for a week in August and had the best time! My fiance (now husband) and I wanted to choose a spot where we could not only have a beautiful wedding but also spend some time with our families. We stayed for the week with both sides of our family, about 15 in all, and everyone had a fantastic time. The cottage was plenty big that there was enough privacy for everyone and no one felt like we were on top of each other. The inside of the house is amazing, with beautiful woodwork and art everywhere; each room was unique. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook every meal there for the whole group; we had some wonderful dinners gathered around the table on the sun porch, watching the sunset. The property was also spectacular and we all enjoyed lounging in the chairs and drinking wine, playing games in the yard, and riding around the lake and into Leland on the pontoon we rented. We had our wedding on Friday and it was like a fairytale. The weather was perfect and the setting was so romantic and perfect; many guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been too. Rink was also extremely accommodating and helped us with anything we needed when it came to the wedding or any arrangements; he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Overall the week and the wedding were absolutely perfect and I couldn't have imagined anything better!!"Guest: Rachel M. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 3, 2014View listing
"What a lovely home! The house itself is great - even better than the pictures. It's decorated beautifully, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The little beach areas were perfect for our granddaughter, and the deck was wonderful. Such a lovely, quiet spot - can't wait to come back!"Guest: Liz Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 1, 2014View listing
"My family including young adults and twin 2 year old grand kids spent a glorious week at this home. It has every toy conceivable -- volley ball court doubling as sand box, fire pit , hot tub, kyacks, basketball court, dock with pontoon boat that we rented from owner, shallow swimming area with Volley Ball court doubling as a beach.. The house itself was very well furnished and the kitchen was fully equipped for gourmet cooking. We outdoor kitchen was out of a Bobby Flay's " Boy Meets Grill". Need I say more a terrific vacation spot."Guest: Dennis T. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 25, 2014View listing
