  • Great rental only one small issue.

"First just to be clear, the place is great, none of us regret staying. The front door makes you think of castles the location is about 12 minutes from ski places and the upstairs is huge. Rules are pretty simple and the Wi-Fi is thrown in. Only gripe we had, is that heat distribution upstairs is really bad. The thermostat is in the master bedroom facing the lake, and the cold really radiates of the glass balcony doors. If you turn up the heat in that room, trying to make up for it, the other 2 bedrooms get insanely hot. Again we solved it after the first night by burying the couple in that room in blankets and keeping the doors open everywhere, but it's something to be aware of in the winter. Again, don't let that keep you from staying there, the lady owner of the place was great at communicating everything to us and the place was amazing in every other way."

  • Great Cottage to Rent!

"Pine Patch was a wonderful cottage for us to rent and include our adult children. Pine Patch was a great choice for us as the separate cabins worked out perfect for our children that brought their significant others with them and offered them their own private space. We were a group of 8 and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit, eat, cook and socialize. Being a cooler summer this year, we REALLY enjoyed sitting around the fire pit each evening for some great conversation, star gazing and planning the next days activities. The sunsets were spectacular, the dock more than large enough to accommodate everyone and there was plenty of area to park 4 cars. We enjoyed all of our favorite places as well as some wonderful buys at the local shops. Overall, Pine Patch was a beautiful place to stay and the owner was great to work with with plenty of communication and answers to questions. We would definitely recommend this cottage and location!"

  • Winter getaway

"My wife and I snuck away for an early week skiing getaway at Boyne Highlands. We were looking for a place away from the resort that made us feel like we were nestled in the northern woods. The Good Hart Retreat was it! From a crackling fire in the stone fireplace (with an amazing mantle) to the toasty hot tub, it had everything we wanted. The kitchen is well-stocked with the necessary utensils and there was tons of space to relax and unwind in. Take the drive up M-119 out of Harbor Springs and enjoy some beautiful vistas over Lake Michigan! The Good Hart retreat is about 20 minutes over country roads from Boyne. We hope to come back again next year!"

  • Beautiful, Secluded

"My husband and I stayed up here for a week with our close friends and had a blast! The cottage was beautiful and very clean on our arrival. A little out of the way, so we didn't have cell service (verizon or att), but the internet worked well enough to stream music on occasion. The September weather was perfect for sitting outside, watching the waves or kayaking during the day, and sitting around the fire at night. It really is a gorgeous view from the house, porch and beach. We loved the sunsets over the water, and were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights late one evening. The cottage was about a half hour or so away from river rafting, fishing charters, Mackinac Island, etc, but a pretty enough drive and worth feeling as if you're away from it all. We'd highly recommend staying at this property."
