  • Another successful 'cottage week' up North.

"we had a great week here at captain jack's place. the description is accurate and everything was clean, neat, and orderly. our 'chefs' loved the plancha, and we ate rather well that week, eating in almost every night. the second kitchen and bathroom was a nice bonus since we had a full house of adults. our ride out on the catamaran was smooth and relaxing. jack was prompt to answer any questions we had and address any concerns. we would not hesitage to rent here again."

  • Wonderful Weekend Getaway!!

"This was a perfect mini getaway! The hot tub was clean, hot and ready for us. There was plenty of firewood stocked so we never had to go out to buy some! The house was clean and inviting. The only things I would comment on are that the shower does not go on all the way and that there are no baking dishes. But for us, those were minor occurrences compared to the trip in full. We visited the lighthouse and the beach covered in ice! It is definitely worth the visit out there! What a site!!! We even saw a couple ice caves. And there were nature made skating rinks that looked like a sheet of glass. We would definitely recommend staying here. Tom is such a delight to work with! There was a huge winter storm the day we were leaving and Tom allowed us to arrive earlier than the check in time so that we could leave earlier and avoid the storm. Top notch!"

  • Cozy, Spotless, Perfect Location

"We stayed in this condo for our annual Christmas ski vacation with a tween and two teens. The pictures don't do it justice. There have been many upgrades and it's absolutely gorgeous, cozy and inviting. Something very important to me was the cleanliness, it was perfectly spotless and that always makes me more comfortable :) Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to store clothes, coats, etc. so we didn't have to live out of suitcases. The location is wonderful, close to the pool. The access to the purple lift works nicely for the whole family, and we all enjoyed being able to come back to the condo at our leisure to warm up, grab a bite, etc. We took the shuttle into Bellaire to visit Shorts Brewery and that was very nice. Free shuttle, just tip the driver. The owners were fantastic to work with, it's apparent they take pride in this unit and want you to have the best stay possible. All in all, our expectations were exceeded in every way and I'm so glad we had already booked another weekend this month. We can't wait to go back!"

  • Two weeks in God's country

"What a wonderful two weeks, we spent at least 5 nights at Esch Beach just watching the beautiful sunset's over Lake Michigan. Nice end to relaxing day. We spent time in Manistee seeing the harbor, eating lunch and looking thru so many Antique Shops. Then topped if off with the House of Flavors Icecream. If you haven't been to Glen Arbor, next time don't miss it. What a beautiful little town. If your hungry go to Art's and have a bacon cheese burger. You may have a wait, but is well worth it. Also the original Cherry Republic Store is there. A must stop, and a good place for Michigan gifts to take back home. We did something different every day and had a wonderful time. Sleeping Bear has to be my favorite place just for it's beauty, a must see. Knowing that every evening you could come back home to the cottage and feel right at home. Enjoy the hot tub or just sit out on the swing and listen to the pines, roast a few marshmallows, or challenge your mate to a game of pool. The Wayberry Cottage has it all and more. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. We try to make it up there every year just because it's the perfect place to go and relax."
