"We stayed at The Hideout for a "girls getaway" and it was perfect. This spotless cottage is nicely decorated and has everything: great kitchen, super comfortable beds, hot tub (loved it!), washer / dryer, sandy beach, sunset views, close to everything in Traverse City. We grilled out every night and drank wine on the patio. We blew a fuse when 3 of use were blow drying our hair at the same time and the owner was friendly and responsive and fixed the problem right away. My sister already booked this cottage for her family vacation next summer."

"We just got back from spending a week at this awesome cottage. The property was nice. a fire ring, a hammock, screenhouse, fishing dock you name it! They had all kinds of items stocked for your convenience. We cooked some great meals there and used the gas grill a few times too. The bed and couch were sooo comfortable, and there were plenty of fans (it was a very warm week) My husband caught a couple of turtles and lots and lots of fish. He was very entertained. Our little dogs were happy to be with us and we are so grateful that they were allowed to come with us on our vacation. Here you are completely in the woodsy outdoors, quiet waterfront, and in just a few minutes you are in town with every store and entertainment imaginable!. I truly hope to stay here again next year. We liked it so much we are planning another Michigan trip over labor day week. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage!"

"What a wonderful jewel. Owner was very responsive and a joy to deal with. Everything you needed was in the house, towels and sheets, and the house was spotless when we arrived. Very nice beach and dock, quiet, fully, and I mean fully, stocked kitchen with every tool and appliance needed to whip up a snack or full 10 course meal. Great lake and close enough to Traverse city for shopping and meals. Farm on the corner, across from the chairs, has great eggs.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bass Lake Lodge.
The home is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was a welcome basket of items for making s'mores which was a nice touch. We really felt like welcome guests.
It's a great location, it's in a nice quiet neighborhood on the lake. The deck is perfect for enjoying morning coffee and listening to the loons ( it's perfect anytime of the day) It's so peaceful.
While here we visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, drove the Northern Loop (it has a nice wine trail and great little towns along the way). We also went into Traverse City."
